There are few people that have lived on earth that have been more passionate about Satanism and the occult than Anton Levay.

He has been called “The Black Pope” and the “Father of Satanism” because he is the one who founded the Church of Satan and brought it to the Western world as an organized religion.

He is the author of the Satanic Bible, along with four other ‘classic’ Satanic books teaching people everything from basic satanic principles to satanic magic. He also has an extensive background in the occult.

In fact, he was the founder of the Order of the Trapezoid where he used to give presentations on the occult and paranormal research, which he later decided to turn into the Church of Satan.  So the Church of Satan was birthed out of his interest and affiliation with the occult.

Anton Levay on the New Age

After becoming a Christian and digging deeper into the New Age, I went out and bought the Satanic Bible for research purposes (which I since thrown out) and gave it a quick read.  I was amazed as how many parallels there were between the New Age and Satanic ritual and philosophy.  It just sounded like a slightly darker version of the exact same topics.

The Age of Aquarias, the five elements and the pentagram, Lucifer as the personification of enlightenment, Thoth, God is man and man is God, spirit guides, pantheism, sensual indulgence, spiritual rebirth through studying the “mysteries”, the All Seing Eye, being your own redeemer and saviour through ‘enlightenment’.

I was amazed to find out that the New Age is no different from Luciferian and Satanic philosophy coming straight from the Satanic Bible itself.  I will continue to pull together research proving that each of these topics are Satanic, but it was nice to know that Anton Levay did some of the work for me by making a passive aggressive remark about how the New Age stole the devil’s religion:

“In the scores of books lining the shelves of New Age bookstores, there are instructions for guided meditation, creative visualizations, out of body experiences, getting in touch with your spirit guides, fortune telling by cards, crystal balls or the stars. What if Satanists reclaimed these for their own dark purposes and integrated them into rituals dedicated to the Devil, where they rightfully belong? New Agers have freely drawn upon all manner of Satanic material, adapting it to their own hypocritical purposes… But in truth, all ‘New Age’ labeling is, again, trying to play the Devil’s game without using His Infernal name. ” —Anton LaVey, quoted in Church of Satan, B. Barton, p.107

So according to a lifetime occultist and the founder of Satanism, the New Age is just a relabeling Satanism without having to use the name of Satan and New Age practices should be reclaimed by Satanists and dedicated to the Devil to whom they belong.  Why would he say this?

What the New Age does is mix in Satanic occultic practices with a message of love, unity, self-help, self-esteem, and positivity.  This turns Satanism into something morally appealing enough to be digested by the soft-hearted and captivating enough to be explored by anyone who is genuinely looking for a deeper meaning in life.

And this is not simply me quoting one guy and being a sensationalist.  As we will read below, the entire New Age movement was founded by a 32nd degree freemason and a Theistic Satanist who praised Satan as being God.

The whole New Age movement was founded by a Theistic Satanist

Helena Blavatsky has been called the “Mother of the New Age”.  She is an occultist and spiritualist from the 19th century who founded the Theosophical Society which was “an unsecterian body of seekers after Truth, who endeavour to promote Brotherhood and strive to serve humanity.”  This sounds a little bit like the New Age.

As New Religious Movements research specialist from the University of California Dr. J. Gordon Melton said: “No single organization or movement has contributed so many components to the New Age Movement as the Theosophical Society… It has been the major force in the dissemination of occult literature in the West in the twentieth century.” ( New Age Encyclopedia 1990, pp. 458–461.)

He has also said “… Madame Blavatsky … stands out as the fountainhead of modern occult thought, and was either the originator and/or popularizer of many of the ideas and terms which have a century later been assembled within the New Age Movement. The Theosophical Society, which she cofounded, has been the major advocate of occult philosophy in the West and the single most important avenue of Eastern teaching to the West.”- Gordon Melton, Jerome Clark and Aidan A. Michigan, Gale Research Inc., 1991, p. 16.

Theosophy, according to Wikipedia, “refers to systems of esoteric philosophy concerning, or seeking direct knowledge of, presumed mysteries of being and nature, particularly concerning the nature of divinity. Theosophy is considered a part of the broader field of esotericism, referring to hidden knowledge or wisdom that offers the individual enlightenment and salvation.”  The society taught everything you could possibly imagine that could fall under the umbrella of the New Age.

Lumerians, Ascended Masters, Ancient Egypt, Hermeticism, Hinduism, mysticism, scientism, astrology, sacred math, enlightenment, spiritualism, chakras, Atlantis, and every other New Age topic was taught by her and was promoted the society she started. Between 1887 and 1997, over 2800 journals were published in the Theosophical magazine she started called Lucifer:

And no, Lucifer is not used here as a metaphor.  The New Age founder was literally a Luciferian and a Satanist in the most literal sense and taught this as an essential ingredient in her philosophy.

Helena Blavatsky quotes praising Satan

Here are some direct quotes from volume II of her book The Secret Doctrine,  It is considered to be a classic work in esotericism and is noted as being responsible for bringing occultic ancient wisdom to the Western world.  Please take the time to read these:

“Satan is the ‘Anointed Cherub’ of old. . . . God created Satan, the fairest and wisest of all his creatures in this part of His Universe, and made him Prince of the World, and of the Power of the Air…Thus, Satan being perfect in wisdom, and beauty, His vast empire is our earth, if not the whole solar system. . . . Certainly no other angelic power of greater or even equal dignity has been revealed to us.” (p. 229)

“Stand in awe of him, and sin not; speak his name with trembling . . . . For Satan is the magistrate of the justice of God (Karma); he beareth the balance and the sword . . . . For to him are committed Weight and Measure and Number.” and “It is “Satan who is the god of our planet and the onlygod,” and this without any allusive metaphor to its wickedness and depravity. For he is one with the Logos, “the first son, eldest of the gods,” (p.234)

“The glory of Satan is the shadow of the Lord”: God in the manifested world; “the throne of Satan is the footstool of Adonai” — that footstool being the whole Kosmos. (Vide Part II., “Is Pleroma Satan’s Lair?”) When the Church, therefore, curses Satan, it curses the cosmic reflection of God; it anathematizes God made manifest in matter or in the objective; it maledicts God, or the ever-incomprehensible Wisdom, revealing itself as Light and Shadow, good and evil in nature, in the only manner comprehensible to the limited intellect of Man.  This is the true philosophical and metaphysical interpretation of Samael, or Satan” (p.235)

“But Satan will now be shown, in the teaching of the Secret Doctrine, allegorized as Good, and Sacrifice, a God of Wisdom, under different names.” (p.237)

“In this case it is but natural — even from the dead letter standpoint — to view Satan, the Serpent of Genesis, as the real creator and benefactor, the Father of Spiritual mankind. For it is he who was the “Harbinger of Light,” bright radiant Lucifer, who opened the eyes of the automaton createdby Jehovah, as alleged; and he who was the first to whisper: “in the day ye eat thereof ye shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil” — can only be regarded in the light of a Saviour.” (p.243)

In Volume II over her book, well over 100 references to Satan were made to either glorify him or paint him to be some kind of a victim of Christian dogma.  He is spoke of as a bringer of light and truth, and she literally equates him with being God, the Logos, and the Holy Ghost.  Is this not concerning to some people?  She has arguably had the largest influence over the New Age out of anybody else in history, and she is openly praising Satan as the creator of mankind and the Saviour of humanity.
