Uncontrollable Anger or Temper Could be Demons and a Possible Door Opener to the Enemy

Proverbs-25.28-1

You may have known such a person. He or she is a ticking time bomb with that will go off at whatever the person’s trigger is.

One symptom of demonization is having uncontrollable anger or rage. Such a person will have a tendency to go over-the-top, intense, rage that is irrational – the situation wouldn’t justify the amount of anger or rage response the person would have.

I can recall about a year ago I went evangelizing with two friends at a County Fair but we were told by the security that we had to have a reservation to do such thing on their property. So they kicked us out. As the security walked us to the car one of my friends went off venting in an uncontrollable rant loudly for about an hour (yeah, it took us that long to find our car). While he is going off like a volcano eruption I am thinking to myself this guy has demonic issues for sure – likely a demon of rage or anger.

Months later that friend who had that outburst admitted to me, with a repentant attitude, that he had issues with anger and when he would get enraged he wouldn’t even remember it. It was as if he was taken over. He also told me his dad had the same issues. Could there be a generational curse? Possibly.

Sure, a person’s anger issues can just be of the flesh but it is very possible there is an underlying demonic component.

What does the scripture read about those who are given over to anger?

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.” – Ephesians 4:26-27

The scripture reads we are not to go to sleep while in a state of wrath. I believe this can open a person to demonic infestation.  We are to forgive others who wronged us (Matthew 6:14-15).

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” – Proverbs 25:28

He that is given over to uncontrollable anger exposes himself to manifold dangers, possibly, I believe, to demonic infestation or at least give some degree of influence to the enemy.

Here are some scriptures addressing anger that we all should heed:

Ecclesiastes 7:9 – Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Proverbs 16:32 – [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

2 Timothy 2:24 – And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach, patient,

Galatians 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Ephesians 4:26-27 – Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Proverbs 29:11 – A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise [man] keepeth it in till afterwards.

Proverbs 21:23 – Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Proverbs 19:11 – The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and [it is] his glory to pass over a transgression.

Proverbs 22:29 – “An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.”

Proverbs 22:24-25 – 24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered,25 or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.”

If you believe you have been bound by the spirit of anger or rage and want prayer for deliverance then feel free to contact me.

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you can receive Him into your heart and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
