Dangers of Tattoos – Confirmation Tattoos Are Demonic

I made a post a while back about tattoos possibly opening up demonic portals in a person. Well, because of a recent event, there is confirmation to me that tattoos do indeed open doors to demonization.

A church-going woman called me on the phone sounding very depressed, distraught, and broken. She told me she heard voices in her head putting her down, and that she battled depression and suicidal thoughts. People thought she was going crazy. She was even admitted to a hospital and put on medication to deal with her mental health issues. She said to me that she did a web search about hearing voices, and she found my post about it where I stated that hearing voices is usually a symptom of demonization (it was probably either A Man on Dr. Phil Hears Voices on Dr. Phil That Demeans Him and His Family: “Mental Illness” or Demons?, or “Tormenting Voices in My Head!” – Mental Illness or Demons?). Reading the post prompted her to call me, I guess, to seek answers.

In my experience, hearing voices internally that denigrate you are tell-tale signs of demonization. Thus, I was confident there was some unclean spirit(s) indwelling in her.

Before praying for deliverance, I usually have the person renounce their past sins to the Lord, which may have opened up the door for the enemy to come into the person’s life. We went through the process. Then I proceed to pray for deliverance to cast out the spirits, but surprisingly to me, there were none of the usual manifestations of the expulsion of demons. I was left a little befuddled.

Then she decided to reveal to me that she has tattoos. I asked her what kind of tattoos she had. She said she had an all-seeing eye tattoo behind her neck and a Day of the Dead tattoo (interestingly, it reads explicitly in Leviticus 19:28 to not get a tattoo of the dead). Then I had a strong hunch that was the doorway for the enemy to come in. I had her repent and renounce getting the tattoos before the Lord and reject any spirit that may have come through it in the name of Jesus. As she was praying, her voice started to change, and she started to get highly emotional.

I pulled the image from Google. I assume the tattoo looked something like this.

What spirit is operating behind a person to get such a morbid image on his body?

She said she also had an all-seeing eye tattoo on the back of her neck. I assume it could have looked something like this. It is called the Eye of Providence, which is used in Freemasonry – a false religion.

Or perhaps it could have been something like this, which is the Eye of Horus (Wedjat). It is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection (not really) from the false gods Horus or Ra. Another reads, “In Egyptian Mythology, Horus IS Lucifer”. — (Former Satanist, William Schnoebelen, Masonry:  Beyond The Light, p. 197)

Then I proceeded to pray for deliverance again, but this time praying against the spirits attached to the tattoo. As soon as I specifically targeted any unclean spirits behind the Day of the Dead and all-seeing eye tattoos, sure enough, the demon rose inside her and started to speak through her mouth with a disturbing voice. Then the “wrestling” started: as I was telling the demon to leave her in the name of Jesus, the demon defiantly responded repeatedly that she belonged to him, and it wasn’t going to leave her. As I pray for her, she coughs profusely while disturbing noises are coming out of her mouth. Sometimes, it sounds like she is choking. I commanded the spirits to leave because they have no legal right to be inside her, and I prayed that the shed blood of Jesus Christ is over her tattoos.

After I prayed, she was crying hysterically, and she expressed her utter shock that a Christian can have a demon. She never thought that she had a demon, and never thought that her issues were of a spiritual matter. She told me all the medications did for her was make her emotionally numb, so much so that she couldn’t even cry. I said to her, the medical establishment can’t help a person who has an issue that is fundamentally a spiritual one. What she needed was Jesus Christ!

I asked her when did she get the tattoos, and she said she got them 8 years ago, but that was the time she started to have problems in her life. She even named the Day of the Dead tattoo on her thigh. She related to me that while she was in the hospital for her issues, while on the hospital bed, a spirit that seemed to have been attached to the tattoo told her that he was going to take over her body. She told me that she later realized how demonic-looking the tattoo on her thigh was, and she wanted it removed, but it would cost a hefty $8,000.

Are Any Kind of Tattoos of God?

Tattoos seem to be becoming more mainstream. I believe the wider acceptance of tattoos is the devil conditioning people to receive the Mark of the Beast as we draw closer to Christ’s return. Moreover, of course, I believe it’s just another way for a person to be spiritually defiled by the enemy as it opens doors for unclean spirits to be attached to a person.

One thing I noticed is that a lot more people these days have tattoos of occult symbols, dragons, serpents, grim reaper, or other grotesque, morbid-looking creatures. Out of all the things a person can have as a tattoo, why such things? Such a thing is in direct opposition to the command Abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thess. 5:22).

Don’t be deceived, the enemy is behind such tattoos, as it breaks the “hedge” for unclean spirits to enter a body. Most people have no clue that the enemy is pulling their strings to get such tattoos.

That said, I can’t be certain every kind of tattoo will open the door to demonization. Will a tattoo of a mere heart symbol or the name of your mother on your body open oneself to demonization? I don’t know. But why get a tattoo of anything when the Bible reads to walk as Jesus walked and to imitate Christ (1 John 2:6; Ephesians 5:1)? Surely Jesus would never get a tattoo of the name “Mary” written on His body.

The scriptural truth is that our body was meant to glorify the Lord and God Jesus Christ as opposed to being a canvas to be marked with demonic-looking creatures or for any reason rooted in vanity.

Scriptures about how one should treat their body:

(1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

(2 Corinthians 7:1) Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

(Romans 12:1-2) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

(Leviticus 19:28) “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

(James 4:4) “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can receive Him into your heart, and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins, just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”

Tattoos started as a fad about 15 years or so ago in the United States. And soon, even some Christians jumped on the bandwagon and started getting “Tats” on their various body parts. Why is it people have to follow fads? Christians are told not to be conformed to the world and yet it seems like they follow every new fad that presents itself? Why? There is nothing inherently attractive or beautiful about mutilating your body like a billboard or roadmap. Christians know the Lord said not to do this….yes, it’s in the Old Testament but so what? Listen to Him…your Heavenly Father knows best. And if He said don’t do it, then don’t do it. Anyway, it just makes you look like the rest of the herd.

I came to understand through vision that all tattoos are demonic.

I am a born again believer. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour and i have committed myself to following Him. I had a vision while interceeding for my sister late last year. She had been admitted to a mental institute and her condition was quite bad. While i was in intercession, i became aware of my spirit witnessing her lying on a hospital bed with two angels beside her, who were running a machine that was cleaning her blood. I was led to pray over her in that moment and i began to touch every area on her skin where there was a tattoo. I was praying in tongues and every time i would touch a tattoo, a black most would rise into the air. I progressed that way until i got to the tattoo on her feet. At this point, i held both her ankles and prayed and as i did do, she convulsed as if an electric shock had run into her body and a black figure the same length as her body was separated from her. It was as if another entire body was pulled out from her body and it was arrested by angels. I knew in that moment it was a demon and immediately after it had separated from her, i saw wounds in her body start to come together and patch up and i came out of the vision. I shared with her the experience and asked her not to get any more tattoos or piercings. She was discharged a week later.

I went did some research about tattoos later on and found a documentary in Explained about the ancient roots of tattoos. Their information indicates that ancient cultures used tattoos as part of their rituals to connect with ancestral spirits so each tattoo was connected to a specific spirit and every time anyone got the tattoo, they would invite the as spirit into communion with them. The same traditions had been passed down and even though they are modified now, the root is still the same. We cannot be partakers of the table of demons in anyway, including through the traditions of the world.

My understanding is that the tattoo is a blood sacrifice to a demon in return for some kind of benefit. There is a consequence of marring the image of God in us.

  2. I believe this is true, since I, too, committed that sin before I got saved – and I think this is part of the reason why the demons were able/ allowed to stay for so long…
Unfortunately, being defiled and plagued by demons often comes with many other hardships, namely financial desasters, and so I, too, have not been able to afford to have it removed yet, but I will definitely do so as soon as I can!
Even more so am I really surprised to see many “Christian” teachers and pastors running around with many, many tattoos – almost as if they wanted to show us the telltale sign they are a false teacher/ prophet? Not that I want to judge them by their looks, but as for me, I am truly sorry for doing it and I don’t display my tattoo any longer, but hide it by all means since I am aware of what I have done…
I didn’t get a big one or morbid one, but I still remember the face of my tattoo artist (it was more than 20 years ago on Bali during a holiday) and I am sure he is/ was a wizard and I also know that it is true that one forms a soul tie with their tattooist and I have prayed a lot about it to get free and to break the curse I brought upon myself back in the days.

One thing I must admit though is that I didn’t let go of wearing earrings yet – a woman without earrings in our age today seems soooo awkward… – excuses, “junkie talk”?
And the next thing is make up – many people say most of the products we can buy are cursed… but going completely without?
To me, that seems very, very hard, especially since hardly any women do it, not even Christians.
But then again, GOD never promised us an easy life and obedience is better than sacrifice – right…?
    Long way to go…
Thank you for posting all your findings, it is a great help for edification and sanctification – I am sure many, many people are blessed by your articles!
Thank you and GOD bless you!

Yes, I can confirm that any tattoo no matter what it is opens you up to demons. I always thought that maybe it was the type of tattoo but found out the hard way. I have a tattoo of both my children’s names with roses. And the Holy Spirit led me into a prayer of renouncing that tattoo and asking for forgive after hearing a message on the dangers of tattoos. After doing so I did self deliverance and demons were expelled. I was very shocked but grateful for Gods mercy. People take tattoos so lightly now a days it’s very sad.

Hypnosis dream sex by spirits and masturbation; do they all mean the same that after orgasm the seed gose to satan or. And about the story of onan in the bible as its told that he made a withraw method as birth control after orgasm on his dead brothers wife; how is it different from having sex with a condom because its all a waste of seed after orgasm. Dose that mean we are all sinners?

The Devil is now getting many to tattoo themselves because it will make these people more amendable to taking the mark of the Beast. If you already have a dozen ratios then what’s another one? And the do of course attract demons.

I’ve been hearing voices since 2016. At first it was thought insertion… now I can’t hear my thoughts because the voices can speak through my mouth and control my body. I’ve been to multiple churches and was told I do not have a demon since I can enter the church. The main problem I have is that I can’t hear my thought or think because the voices say they sacrificed my mind. When they talk through me I can’t think. They also have full possession of my body. This has been going on since 2020. I keep praying but to no avail have I found help. I do have a tattoo and I googled it to find it’s ties and it has pagan backgrounds. I can’t get it removed because the demons/voices has caused me to lose many jobs and opportunities. Please help me

you should see if youre a targeted individual hearing v2k voices, or if the voices are actually people messing with you (the illuminati can in fact do what you are describing)

I have been praying to the Lord for a very long time regarding a tattoo that I had ended up getting many years ago on my chest of a woman’s name that I was in a relationship with for a few years before having come to Christ. I had then got born-again in the year of 2009, and fast forward some years down the line I was in a place of admiration and complete singleness before the Lord and in the church. Then several years down the road, the Lord led me into marriage to my future wife who is also in the Lord and in the church. However, I do remember that one of our sisters in Christ at our local church at the time had suggested to me about praying and asking God about covering up my existing tattoo with another tattoo, that would both honor God and my wife at the same time…

I’ve been wanting to go with some coverup tattoo design, but at the same time I’m really wanting to bring honor to God in the process. I also feel in my heart that carrying another woman’s name on my chest doesn’t actually honor my wife and our marriage and my wife had said that a coverup tattoo would be an honor to our marriage and to God. I guess, I’m very sensitive to the fact that I only want to please and glorify God in everything I do and say, so I’ve been asking for a sign from God or further prayer from anyone here who reads this, in this area of my life for God’s direction & leading to show me what to do next and what design or scripting could be used to coverup my existing tattoo… I said to God that I would rather tattoo my entire chest/torso area with His Name if He so desired – as I’m very honored to carry the Name of Jesus on my body and in my soul if it brought Him Glory.

However, I do realize that the world’s following and tattoo images are often very spiritually offensive to God and that we should also be very, very sensitive to God and the Holy Spirit leading in every area of our lives. I’ve also looked at the possibility of having the existing tattoo removed by laser, but the cost to do so would be between 9-12 consultations and this works out to be very, very expensive. So, a cover-up tattoo was the other option. This thought has been coming up over the last 3 years on and off in my mind, and when it does I often feel a very strong urge to get a coverup tattoo, more than laser removal done. I’m not sure why I feel so strongly about it, and I thought it’s the Holy Spirit prompting me, but at the same time I wish I had never ended up getting a tattoo in the first place. I do remember, way back when I’d got it, that a couple of days afterwards, all I wanted to get was a cross of Jesus and yet I wasn’t even saved back then. I guess my question is, do ALL tattoos end up with people being demonically oppressed or possessed if they get them. Can one first pray to God to ensure that the tattoo artist doesn’t form a soul-tie with me and that the motive behind getting the coverup is pure in heart towards God. In other words: Can a coverup tattoo ever glorify God? My thought was to get a Cross over the existing tattoo and the words: Jesus Christ Is Lord.

I have 5 earrings and 2 very small tattoos, I don’t wear make up don’t need it I am my own person but still belong to god, he made me what I am and gave me the choice to do with my temple as I want to go make it nice, nothing dead, demonic etc. Don’t tell people they are bad for decorating their temple, it’s a way of loving who and what you are and what God created, don’t forget he gave you free will to believe, don’t make judgements on other people, he will do that when the time comes, it’s not for fellow humans to do!

I am really glad that you wrote about this topic. I thought it was just me. For many years now, I have noticed that I do not resonate with people who have tattoos, especially the ones who are HEAVILY tattooed.

I am always in a situation where they seem really nice at first, so I decide to ignore this detail. Then after some time, they do things that are super treacherous. Like if I am working for someone who has a lot of tattoos, they will offer or agree to pay me an agreed upon amount and then default with no shame.

There is just something manipulative and sinister about these individuals. They are often very passive aggressive, adverse to the idea of direct and truthful communication. They prefer preying on how the other person feels instead of keeping things straight, objective and transparent. This is a recipe for a lot of negative drama.

I have been through so many experiences that confirm this conclusion that I have arrived at. I think somehow the tattoos signal the dark in a way that gives permission for demons to be a part of their psyche. The demons manipulate their emotions in the ways that I have described. It’s almost like getting a tattoo creates some kind of agreement with invisible evil forces that are subtle and sneaky.

Also, the original intent to get permanent life-long ink on the skin is often motivated by a strong drive for power and social attention/admiration. This emotional drive is what attracts these demons.

It scares me that tattoos seem to be increasingly more popular with people getting entire sleeves done.
