Reconnective Healing Exposed

reconnective healing

I make this post in light of someone I know who got involved with Reconnective Healing® (among other New Age practices), and consequently got demonized because of it. Reconnective Healing®, which was founded by Eric Pearl, is nothing more than artfully packaged New Age medicine much like Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. (2).gif

What exactly is Reconnective Healing?

In their own words:

Through these programs, you can learn to access and transmit the Reconnective Healing Frequencies™ – regardless of your spiritual orientation or prior experience with healing. Once you are able to serve as a catalyst, you will have the ability to facilitate healings not only for yourself but for others as well.

What does Pearl believe about it:

Initially skeptical, Dr. Pearl came to understand that there is a universal intelligence which is accessible to us all – one that can facilitate extraordinary healings through bringing us into alignment, balance, and harmony.

He supposedly will,

help you become more intrinsically aware of the universal intelligence that created all life forms. Next, we teach you how to tune into and access the healing frequencies of this intelligence, from both inside and out. Lastly, we demonstrate how to bring in this intelligence and interact with it at a more comprehensive and evolved level – to inform, guide, heal, and transform your life.

Essentially, one need only tap into this “universal intelligence” to help the body “self-correct” or “self-heal.” But what really is this universal intelligence that he wants people to interact with? It apparently is not the God of the Bible! (3)

How is Connective Healing administered?

“The Reconnection” is similar to therapeutic touch, but goes much farther. He does not need to physically touch patients because they can feel his touch without any contact. They close their eyes and he moves his hands around their bodies but several inches away. They feel a presence, see colors unknown on Earth, and often see angels…..Afterwards, they report miraculous healings of “cancers, AIDS-related diseases, epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, birth disfigurements, cerebral palsy and other serious afflictions.

Reconnective Healing is in various countries

Pearl is a former Chiropractor and has training programs in Colorado, Mexico, Romania, Chile, Brazil, Quebec, Austria, and Portugal. He is endorsed by popular TV personality Dr. Oz. His first level of training claims to captivate concepts of “light and energy.”

Pearl claims he has taught Reconnective Healing to over 100,000 people in the world, it is marketed forcefully:

He is teaching his “reconnective healing” methods to others worldwide through seminars in several languages, he engages in aggressive marketing, he offers practice-building advice to his many disciples, and he even foists his beliefs on groups of impressionable young children. I use the word disciples intentionally because there are strong religious overtones to this healing method.

How Did Pearl Get this “Gift?”

Pearl has a story as to how he was given this healing ability:

To hear Dr. Pearl describe his earlier life, he was running a successful chiropractic office when one day his receptionist asked him to visit a Jewish Gypsy on Venice Beach. After much indecision, Mr. Pearl chose to pay the woman $333 to perform a ritual that would ”reconnect my body’s meridian lines to the grid lines on the planet.

[Side note: It’s interesting that it was $333, half of 666. But I digress.]

In his book, he writes,

I can hear the blurb now: Jewish Gypsy on Venice Beach takes $333 from unsuspecting chiropractor. My picture with the word ”Sucker” under it flashes across the screen.

But after only two sessions with the Gypsy, Dr. Pearl claimed he returned to his Los Angeles chiropractic practice to find that he had only to place his hands either above or beside the patient for them to become well, either physically or spiritually, and began to be healed from serious diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and cerebral palsy. He couldn’t understand why and consulted with leaders in science, medicine, and spirituality for help. They didn’t have the answers either, so he decided to go on to pioneer studies on the healing frequencies that were running through him, which he believed were healing people. He coined the term Reconnective Healing® which he claims completely transcends energy healing and its complex rituals and techniques. Source

I don’t doubt the demons inside the Gypsy transferred into Dr. Pearl. That is how he has the supernatural ability to “heal.” When one gets involved with someone with the occult, their demons can transfer.

Something else happened after visiting the Gypsy:

Later, at home, a light by his bedside turned on by itself and he thought there were people in his home, that he was not alone and was being watched. He began to have other unusual experiences such as strange sensations and vibrations in his skull and legs, and he started hearing music and sounds…..Then his chiropractic patients started reporting similar unusual experiences, seeing angels and experiencing miraculous healings.

His experience has happened to other people who have gotten involved in the occult or New Age. He apparently opened up the doors to demons. Some in the New Age may falsely think of them as spirit guides.

The bodily sensations are likely symptoms of demonization. People who practice energy healing, meditation, Yoga, anything alleged to channel chi, spirit contact, some martial arts, learning to use “psychic” abilities, and any occult activity, may have such symptoms.

What about the patients seeing angels? Those are apparently not angels of God as they don’t point to the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible. Angels who serve the true God of the Bible do not participate in or help with “healing” connected to teachings that contradicts God’s word found in the Bible. Angels are very popular in the New Age movement, and most ideas about them are false.

The reality is there are fallen angels who deceive people. The Bible reads:

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

Satan has angels who serve him: “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” Matthew 25:41

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Timothy 4:1

Are people really getting healed?

His website is full of miraculous testimonials. Could it be true? Maybe. But when satan “heals” a person, he curses the person in another way. He can heal an illness or ailment, but then the person will have another kind of illness or ailment. Satan can have a person running in circles never really receiving complete healing. Everything from him requires a cost to a person’s detriment. But with the Lord Jesus Christ, on the other hand, He heals for free granted if He chooses to and if the person has faith.

Christian author Kurt E. Koch, in reference to demonic healing, stated:

“In all cases I have observed over a long period of time, it was only a matter of apparent cure. Either the ailment appeared again after a considerable pause, or there was only a shift, a transfer from the organic to the psychological… A change from bodily ailment to psychological disturbances”

(Christian Counseling and Occultism, pg. 139).

Author Merrill Unger said something similar:

…when demons help heal physical diseases, they exact a price either in some type of occult oppression or psychic disturbance in their victim or by causing him to fall prey to error and false doctrine.

Physical healing, when not according to God’s will and for his glory in answer to prayer but effected through demonic spirits, always has Satan’s costly price tag attached to it. Satan merely shifts the malady from the physical to the mental or emotional. The victim often falls into doctrinal errors of the cult in which the healing occurred. When black magic is used with demonic help, the practice of healing and causing diseases merely fosters satanic cunning and effects no real deliverance.

(Demons in the World Today, pgs. 155-156)

The effects of the curse can’t be reversed unless one turns to Jesus.

Those spirit guides or angels will retaliate if such a healer turned to Christ

These deceptive, evil spirits will even threaten people if they turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, proving what they really are:

…occultists who are converted to faith in Jesus Christ, be they witches, mediums, psychics, gurus, spiritists of all stripes, UFO “contactees,” etc, always seem to discover that their once-friendly “familiars,” spirit helpers,” “ascended masters,” “devas and gods,” “space contacts,” etc, now turn against them

(Ankerberg & Weldon, The Coming Darkness, pg. 296).

Kurt explained:

... people with occult subjection will often suffer their first attacks after they seek to follow Christ and serve Him. In other words, the battle often does not begin until a person receives Christ.

(Demonology Past and Present, p. 105).

Healers using the power of demons is nothing new. This has been going on for thousands of years:

The world in which the early Christians lived was full of demons and demon- energized healers and magic workers (Acts 8:9-11; 13:7-10). In the temple of Serapis at Alexanderia Egypt, multitudes of pagans were remarkably healed. Pilgrimages to Epidaurus in Greece became world famous, and a night’s sleep in the sacred temple cured thousands.

(Albert Henry Newman, A Manual of Church History, 1:32, 161.) (5)
Notice the woman’s body as he administers Reconnective Healing. Such manifestation is a symptom of demonization.

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt you are getting serious, heavy demonic infestation if you go to a psychic surgeon, psychic healer, Reiki healer, or the like.

Closing Commentary

It is a form of idolatry when one seeks supernatural help such as from an energy healer or psychic healer instead of the living God, just as it is idolatry to seek counsel from an astrologer, necromancer, or fortune-teller instead of the living God. The Bible reads it is God who heals (Ex. 15:26) and it is God who we should seek for counsel (Isaiah 8:19; 9:6 Ps. 32:8). One is essentially putting people who are puppets of the enemy in the place where God should be by getting involved with them. That is sin.

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can receive Him into your heart, and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I repent of my sins and turn to you. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”

As a Christian, how should I pray if I believe I may have had this sort of therapy? I had a physical therapist use something that sounds like this. He sometimes used a very light touch and other times almost no touch. I forget what he called it. I wondered about it at the time and was a little nervous. At the same time, I would leave feeling very relaxed.

Go down the rabbit hole and you will find out that christianity is man made and you will find out also that islam is man made…and maybe you will find out who made them.
This does not mean that “Jesus” did not exist or performed “miracles”….but “How did he do that ?”…..hmm….energy healing of some sort ?….

A friend of mine went to a reiki healer and felt weird during and after the session. She said the practitioner’s eyes were glazed over and seemed odd, but the weirdest thing she experienced was when the ‘healer’ was touching my friend’s shoulders with both hands, she felt another hand touching the back of her leg when no one else was there. It freaked her out and she never went again.

I’m a person who had past experience of and interest in the occult. I have paid quite a bad price for this, but as I have turned my life over to Jesus Christ, He has been healing me of various forms of demonic possession and demonic oppression. May I say this too, I am now not living in the addiction I used to. Sin, addiction of many kinds, dabbling with the occult, new age and many other things can open the doors to demons.

Ask Jesus into your life. Don’t worry how far you’ve gone down the rabbit hole. He’ll pull you out, if you ask Him to!!! But get rid of all that sinful rubbish.. ALL OF IT!!!
