“Originating from the Philippines, the international cult Iglesia ni Cristo (Tagalog for ‘Church of Christ’) which was founded by Felix Manalo in 1914, who is supposed ‘God’s last messenger’. Like most cult leaders, Felix claimed to be God’s prophet in an effort to accumulate power. Like every other Christian cult, it claims to be the one, true Church of Christ however they deny the divinity of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, and assert that Jesus was created by God. Inglesia ni Cristo also claims to be the sole source of truth and salvation. But Jesus Christ Himself said that salvation is found only in Him and that He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), not membership to any church. They also reportedly hold an almost unbreakable grip on their members and impose a man-made path to salvation through service and works. The Bible, however, reads “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lets any man should boast” (Eph. 2:8-2-9). Be wary, Jesus said in the last days there will be people who will lead many astray (Matt. 24:5). Pray for those ensnared by the cults.”
It is reported that over 2.4 million across the world are part of this cult. Pray that God will lead them out of this cult.
