So-called experts can’t fathom how one can be so evil, namely Adolf Hitler, but it makes sense in light of scripture as the spiritual world is real and satan and his demons use vessels to carry out his will, just as God uses His vessels for His will.

The mixing of Nazism, paganism, and occultism is often shrouded in secrecy, but there is no doubt Hitler and high-ranking Nazis were involved in such things:

Was Hitler a Christian? (Yes, there are some people who actually believe he was a Christian)

Opening himself up to the demonic via the occult is at least one way how Hitler got full of demons (more on that later) and did what he did with no remorse.

There is a reason why the Bible warns, “⁹ “When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. ¹⁰ There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, ¹¹ or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. ¹² For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. ¹³ You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. ¹⁴ For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you.” – Deut. 18

Alfred Rosenberg

Born the son of a cobbler, Alfred Rosenberg was an important figure in the Nazi party’s beginnings. Rosenberg was also a close associate of the Thule Society – an occult-mystical organization that believed true Germans originated from a superhuman race of Aryans. For him, religion and philosophy were crucial to political change, and he was extremely outspoken about his strong views in these regards. He has been described as having an “occult-driven psychosis” (as well as “rabid anti-Semitism”), and was adamant that Christianity should be eliminated or “allowed to die out,” in favor of a new “religion of the blood.” He effectively led the Nazis while Hitler was imprisoned in Landsberg after being convicted of treason following the Munich Beer Hall Putsch, and thus was instrumental in laying the anti-Semitic foundations of the Nazis’ principles.

Dietrich Eckart

The Thule society had many links with the Nazi party. The organization was a secretive group of occultists who believed in the coming of a “German Messiah” who would restore Germany’s fortunes after her defeat in World War I and the humiliation of the Versailles Treaty. One such member was Johann Dietrich Eckart, a successful playwright, poet and journalist. Eckart met Adolf Hitler for the first time during a speech he gave before NSDAP party members in 1919, and became convinced that the Austrian was the “prophesied redeemer” that he believed Germany longed for.

It is said that Eckart “exerted considerable influence on Hitler in the following years and is strongly believed to have helped establish the theories and beliefs of the Nazi party.” As such, “few other people had as much influence on Hitler in his lifetime.”

Karl Maria Wiligut:

Karl Maria Wiligut has been called both the “only occultist who exerted real influence in the Third Reich” and “Himmler’s Warlock” or “Himmler’s Rasputin.” Wiligut’s beliefs were at times a bit out there. He maintained that Germany’s true culture reached back to hundreds of thousands of years before Christ to an era when the globe was inhabited by creatures plucked from various mythologies including giants and dwarfs. He maintained that the German people were descended from the mythical inhabitants of Atlantis and that at one time there were even three suns. Wiligut was eccentric, to say the least, so it is perhaps unsurprising to learn that he was committed to an insane asylum in 1924 for his beliefs.

His original role within the SS was as the head of the Pre-and-Early History Department, but he was soon moved up until he eventually became a member of Himmler’s personal staff, even officiating in the role of priest at weddings of SS men and their brides. Most notably, though, Wiligut designed the Death’s Head ring which Himmler personally awarded to prestigious SS officers.

Rudolf Hess:

As Adolf Hitler’s deputy, Hess was the third most powerful man in the Third Reich. He was also said to be “the biggest occult supporter of them all.” The Egyptian-born Hess would become a close associate of Hitler during their time in Landsberg Prison, helping Hitler to complete Mein Kampf. Even before the Nazis’ rise to power, Hess was a member of the Thule Society and had long been interested in the more esoteric aspects of life. Hess even ordered that all the supposed ley lines that criss-crossed the Third Reich be mapped.

Famously, Hess flew over to Scotland at the height of the war. The reasons for this were not clear at first, and this “apparent defection” caused a shockwave that rippled through the Nazi Party. These repercussions were not good news for the occultists who Hess left behind, as Hitler instructed the Third Reich’s notorious secret police, the Gestapo, to implement ‘Aktion Hess.’ Hundreds of occultists were arrested; a ban on all secret societies was enforced; and any open performances of clairvoyancy, astrology, fortune-telling or telepathy were prohibited.

Heinrich Luitpold Himmler:

SS leader and architect of the ‘Final Solution,’ Heinrich Himmler was one of the evilest men in one of the evilest regimes imaginable. He was also a master occultist with an intense interest in Germanic paganism. Long an associate of various esoteric secret societies, Himmler used his position of power within the Nazi party to mix his own ideologies with the Third Reich’s. At Wewelsburg Castle he conducted numerous secret black magic rituals in a small room he named the “realm of the dead” in an attempt to communicate necromantically with the long deceased ancestors of the German people. Indeed, Himmler saw Wewelsburg as his Camelot and planned to make it “the center of the world” after Germany’s final victory (Endsieg). But such a Teutonic triumph was not to be, and Himmler ordered that the castle be destroyed before Allied troops could capture it.

A news report revealed Himmler’s stash of occult books was discovered:

A rare library of books on witches and the occult that was assembled by Nazi SS chief Heinrich Himmler in the war has been discovered in the Czech Republic.

Himmler was obsessed with the occult and mysticism, believing the hocus-pocus books held the key to Ayran supremacy in the world.

The books – part of a 13,000-strong collection – were found in a depot of the National Library of Czech Republic near Prague which has not been accessed since the 1950s.

Some miscellaneous information that I also found interesting:

• We know that Satan counterfeits God, so it was interesting that The Third Reich was sometimes also referred to as the “Thousand Year Reich,” which is the same amount of time Jesus will reign when He returns (Revelation 20:6).

• Hitler was said to have Satan’s luck. There were numerous assassination attempts on his life, but for some reason, something would go wrong. For instance, one general tried to kill Hitler with a concealed bomb that was to be detonated by acid. Unfortunately, Hitler left the building before the acid could act. Another incident occurred in World War One: Hitler fell asleep in a trench and dreamt a shell killed him. He awoke in a sweat and ran from the spot. The bemused soldier who took his place was blown to bits by an enemy shell minutes later.

•  Hitler totally perverted the Lord’s Prayer. Again, the devil counterfeiting or perverting the things of God. Hitler’s Youth prayer (modeled after the Lord’s Prayer): “Adolf Hitler, you are our great Führer. Thy name makes the enemy tremble. Thy Third Reich comes, thy will alone is law upon the earth. Let us hear daily thy voice and order us by thy leadership, for we will obey to the end and even with our lives. We praise thee! Hail Hitler!”
• “Within six months, the Allies were closing in on the Fuhrer in his Berlin bunker. He knew all hope of victory had long gone, and that it would only be a matter of time before the end came. But for some reason, Hitler waited until 30 April 1945 until he shot himself through the head. It may have been a coincidence, but Walpurgis Night falls on the 30 April. It is an ancient occult feast when the demons are said to hold high revelry under their chief – the Devil.”
• Ancient Pergamum was the center of ancient paganism. The Germans reconstructed the altar of Zeus in Pergamum in Berlin known as the Zeppelin Tribune. It was the site of the annual Nazi Party rallies where Hitler would address his followers:

Is there any evidence Hitler was demon-possessed?

One source reads:

In “Spear of Destiny”, Trevor Ravenscroft stated that the Nuremberg Trials had totally failed to identify the real nature of evil which lay behind the “outer facade of National Socialism”; indeed, “initiation rites and black magic practices [lay at] the inner core of the Nazi leadership”. (Page xiii). Just a few pages later, Ravenscroft stated that, from 1909-1913, “Hitler attained higher levels of consciousness by means of drugs and made a penetrating study of medieval occultism and ritual magic …”

In 1904, when Hitler was 15 years of age, he was with a friend, August Kubizek, when suddenly, he grabbed Kubizek’s hands and held them extremely tight. His eyes turned feverish and he began to speak in a voice that was loud, hoarse, and raucous. Kubizek felt that some strange being had seized control of Adolf, and was inhabiting his body. Hitler began to speak eloquently about a Mandate to rule Germany, leading her back to her rightful glory. (P. 3)

In this period, 1903-1913, acquaintances also noted that Hitler changed from a shy, timid speaker who seemed to stumble over his words, to a most powerful, spellbinding orator, who seemed to be able to weave a spellbinding effect over his audience. Yet, his voice was not his own, and he seemed to be transfixed by a strange force, as he was speaking (Page 69). In the book, “Hitler’s Ashes”, the authors comment on the change in Hitler’s oratorical style, “Many people believe that the poorly trained Adolf Hitler became the most accomplished orator who ever lived … His technique has been compared to the gradual seduction of a beautiful woman applied to a whole nation.” (P. 95, “Hitler’s Ashes”) What a tremendous difference this demon possession made in Hitler’s life. The women of Germany found him to be “polite, charming, polished and very handsome. Perhaps it was his hypnotic eyes that led many of them into a fatal attraction.” (Ibid., p. 96) My study of Satanic possession has led me to understand that the demon inside does seem to mesmerize, or hypnotise, other people. Hitler loved to get his enemies into a one-on-one meeting, because he could sway them easily, as he did British Prime Minister Chamberlain at Munich! His pale blue eyes radiated hypnotic power.

Hitler also became deeply immersed in stories of Pan-Germanic mysticism, old Nordic legends, of a people involved in a blood brotherhood, who had substituted the Swastika for the Christian Cross, and who participated in Black Magic rituals involving sexual perversions. All of this was a heady brew for young Adolf’s mind and soul, but it prepared him for the ultimate experience of all, joining the Satanic Brotherhood of Death Society, the Thule Society, in 1919. The Master at that time was Dietrich Eckhart who exercised a deep influence over Hitler. It was also at this time that Hitler became mesmerized by person, power, and office of the Antichrist. It was also at this time that Hitler’s eyes changed to a pale blue color (Page 40), a very common occurrence in people who are demon possessed!

As Eckhart lay dying in December, 1923, he uttered a most prophetic statement, “Follow Hitler! He will dance, but it is I who have called the tune! I have initiated him into the ‘Secret Doctrine’, opened his centres of vision and given him the means to communicate with the Powers. Do not mourn for me: for I shall have influenced history more than any other German.” (Page 91). Eckhart was one of Europe’s most dedicated and practiced Satanists. He repeatedly told his fellow adepts in the Thule Group that he had received a Satanic annunciation, that he was “destined to prepare the vessel of the Anti-Christ, the man inspired by Lucifer to conquer the world and lead the Aryan race to glory”. (Page 92) Eckhart led a series of seances attended by both Russian and German occultists, in which Alfred Rosenberg played a key role. Rosenberg, considered himself to be the prophet of Antichrist and interpreter of the Protocols of Zion, regularly called forth the “Beast of the Revelation — the Luciferic Leviathan which had taken over body and soul of Adolf Hitler”. (Page 104)

From the book Strange But True: Mysterious and Bizarre People:

Among the many accounts we have from people who met the Fuhrer or worked alongside him, there are recurring stories of Hitler’s strange power of persuasion and his ability to literally bewitch people. In April 1943, the Italian dictator Mussolini visited Hitler in Germany in a state of deep depression and mental and physical exhaustion. An entry in the diary of Josef Goebbels describes how Hitler revitalised Mussolini:

By putting every ounce of nervous energy into the effort, the Fuhrer succeeded in pushing Mussolini back onto the rails. In those four days Mussolini underwent a complete change. When he got out of the train on his arrival he the Fuhrer thought he looked like a broken old man. When he left again he was in high fettle, ready for anything.

…..

Many in the higher echelons of the Nazi Party were convinced that Hitler was possessed. Hermann Rauschning, the Governor of Danzig and confidant of the German dictator, claimed that Hitler often suffered terrible nightmares, and awoke many times to see a phantom-like being in his room. Rauschning gives an account of the Fuhrer’s night-terror in his book ‘Hitler Speaks’:

….

A person close to Hitler told me that he wakes up in the night, screaming and in convulsions. He calls for help, and appears to be half paralysed. He is seized with a panic that makes him tremble until the bed shakes. He utters confused and unintelligible sounds, gasping, as if on the point of suffocation. The same person described to me one of these fits, with details I would refuse to believe had I not complete confidence in my informant. Hitler was standing up in his room, swaying and looking all round as if he were lost. “It’s he, it’s he,” he groaned; “he’s come for me!” His lips were white; he was sweating profusely… suddenly he screamed: “There! There! Over in the corner! He is there!”

….

Rauschning believed that the man who caused the deaths of more than thirty million people was but a mouthpiece for some evil force:

One cannot help thinking that of him as a medium. For most of the time, mediums are ordinary, insignificant people. Suddenly they are endowed with what seems to be supernatural powers which set them apart from the rest of humanity. These powers are something that is outside their true personality – visitors, as it were, from another planet. The medium is possessed. Once the crisis is past, they fall back again into mediocrity. It was in this way, no doubt, that Hitler was possessed by forces outside himself – almost demonic forces of which the individual named Hitler was only the temporary vehicle.

Curiously enough, many other observers of Hitler’s oratorial skills reached the same conclusions as Rauschninger. “I looked into his eyes the eyes of a medium in a trance. Sometimes the speaker’s body seemed inhabited by something.” Bouchez remarked.

One person named Bouchez said:

I looked into his eyes – the eyes of a medium in a trance … Sometimes there seemed to be a sort of ectoplasm; the speaker’s body seemed to be inhabited by something …

French Ambassador, Francois-Poncet remarked:

He entered into a sort of mediumistic trance; the expression of his face was ecstatic,’ and of another.

Final thoughts 

It’s my personal belief that satan used Hitler to try to wipe out the Jews so Biblical prophecy can’t be fulfilled, and thus render God a liar. Satan tried to wipe out the Jews before as in the book of Esther but of course, failed.

In fact, Jesus Christ will not physically return until the Jews acknowledge Him. Jesus said, “For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 23:39). I believe satan wanted to prevent this prophecy from fulfilling since this will be when satan will be thrown into the abyss (Revelation 20:3). But since God cannot lie, it will be fulfilled in the future.

The Beast, commonly known as the Antichrist, will be far more deceitful and evil, and sadly the majority of the world is going to fall for his deception, just as many fell for Hitler’s deception.

It’s worth noting that Christianity was in decline before and during Nazi Germany (source). If more Christians would have prayed against Hitler, he likely wouldn’t have gone as far as he did. Remember, this is a spiritual war we are all in.

I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
