My sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of the victims of what is now called the worst fire in recent California history.

As of today, reports are that 36 people have been killed in the warehouse fire.

The Oakland Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire at the warehouse known as the Ghost Ship aka Satya Yuga around 11:32 p.m. Friday night on Dec. 5. The warehouse seemed to function as a residential building that hosted a makeshift artists’ studio as well as parties, such as raves, like the one that took place Friday night.

It’s a very sad reality, so many people died in a horrific way. Very tragic. Let this be a reminder that our life can be taken at any moment.

That said, I can’t help but think Satan was at the heart of this tragedy. The Lord and GOD Jesus Christ said Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). The Bible also reads Satan is like a roaring lion walking around looking to whom to devour (1 Pet. 5:8). But Jesus Christ said He came to give people life and life more abundantly (John 10:10) for He is the Source of life (John 1:4; Acts 3:15).

If you don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ, I urge you to repent and give your life to Him today, so you can have your name written in His Book of Life. You never know when your last day on earth will be.

Many of the “art” and items there are truly demonic. It really looks like something out of a horror movie. The place was filled with numerous idols, one of which is the false Hindu god Shiva, the destroyer. The living GOD detests idols and the Bible reads behind idols are devils (1 Cor. 10:20).  There is absolutely no doubt the warehouse was a den of demons. On top of that, it was a place where parties were held where demonically inspired music was played. I shared my testimony in a post called “Dancing With Devils”  about such places where demons seem to be running the show behind the scenes during such revelries, so much so that I tangibly felt their presence.

A reminder that “…we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” – Ephesians 6:12

If you have any kind of idols in your home, I would get rid of them as soon as possible. The Bible reads they are cursed objects (Deut. 7:25-26).

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can receive Him into your heart, and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins, just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
