“Dream catchers (webbed and beaded circles hung with feathers from the base of the circle) have long been a part of Native American religion, lore, and art. They have caught on within the New Age movement into popular culture. The purpose of a dream catcher is to supposedly catch dreams—that is, to trap bad or evil dreams and channel good dreams to the sleeper. People usually place them in a window or above their bed, believing that it will allow the good dreams to drip down the feathers onto the sleeper below. Essentially, the dream catcher is to manipulate the spirit world. Some people have faith in the efficacy of dream catchers. Others are unsure but are superstitious enough to keep one in the bedroom anyway. Still, others see dream catchers as a mere piece of art that looks good dangling from a rear-view mirror. There are testimonies from some Christians who have hung these things and had terrible nightmares as a result. Knowing the background of dream catchers and their talisman-like use, Christians should have nothing to do with them. Christians should trust in the Lord Jesus for protection (Ps. 20:7) instead of an object.”

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you can receive Him into your heart and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.
If you are sincere you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):
“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
I have a red and black cream catcher and it’s a black circle with red and black beads hanging off of a black ribbon, the black ribbon are connected to the red feathers and there’s two each of them hanging from the bottem. But it has red strings in the black circle going around the whole circle but there’s a silver turtle with a red shell that has black frame on it so I don’t know if it is a dream catcher

This is demonizing natives! This is wrong why would you post an article literally telling people demons and a native belief correlate. You should have told people how pop culture is using dream catchers without knowing its cultural appropriation and that buying these over seas knock offs is wrong. But instead you did something disgusting, you took a learning opportunity and instead of actually doing the right thing you threw a bible at it.

You need to not appropriate the people already hurting from this type of treatment, i thought Christians were supposed to be good people. You obviously are not a good person.

Look I understand you think this okay, maybe you never learned different but now is a great time to teach yourself why this isn’t good. You are blocking yourself from a wider horizon and holding yourself back from true love, equality, and mental freedom. This is my final comment to you but I hope someday you will understand what is wrong with what has been written here. You have probably been too indoctrinated to see the issue and for that im truly sorry I do sincerely hope that you stop holding on to the believe of something that causes hatred.
