Dangers of Trying to Acquire Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis Powers

Let this be a warning to everyone who is attempting to gain supernatural powers or abilities. A young woman contacted me for prayer who got demonized from trying to acquire occultic powers, namely telekensis or psychokinesis (the purported psychic ability to move objects with the mind) and pyrokinesis (the purported psychic ability allowing a person to create and control fire with the mind).

El Diablo from a movie called Suicide Squad. Yeah, I wouldn’t watch this movie.

She was inspired to possess such powers from watching a Stephen King movie. Apparently, telekinesis and pyrokinesis have commonly been used as superpowers in mangas, animes, comic books, movies, TV, video games, and other forms of popular culture. Occult powers or magic has been practiced throughout history in virtually all pagan cultures. Sumero-Akkadian and Canaanite religious literature amply attest to the employment of magic by gods (i.e., demons) to accomplish a definite purpose. There are occult powers from satan’s kingdom mentioned in the Bible. In Exodus 7-8 (Cr. 2 Timothy 3:8), Pharaoh had magicians (Jannes and Jambres) who performed miracles. The Antichrist will be attended by diabolic signs and magical wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). In fact, the Antichrist will call fire down from heaven (Revelation 13:13-18), which seems like some sort of pyrokinesis.

Personally, I have never seen or heard of anyone who has such powers. But I do know if someone does have genuine supernatural powers (no sleight of hand) of telekinesis and/or pyrokinesis then it likely comes from satan’s kingdom, as it doesn’t glorify the living God. There are only two sources of supernatural power: God or the devil.

From the series Charmed, which I also don’t recommend watching as it glorifies witchcraft, an abomination to God.

The demonized woman said she would listen to binaural beats (which is known to open up people to demonization), and would deliberately try to open up her so-called “3rd eye,” and so-called “chakras.” As silly as it sounds, she believed Moses had his so-called chakras opened because he received power from God. She desperately coveted such powers so greatly, her endeavor spanned 3 years. Of course, she never obtained telekinesis or psychokinesis powers she so desired, but she did receive great torment from the demons that she inadvertently opened the doors to. The folly of her sins left her in a worse condition. Play with fire, you are bound to get burnt. Her situation reminded me of another young woman who contacted me for deliverance prayer after doing a witchcraft spell to become more attractive since she wanted to break into the entertainment industry. It did end up working, but she was left off demonized. There is always a price to pay when dealing with the devil.

As a result of trying to obtain psychic powers, the young woman said she got blasphemous thoughts, pentagram images in her head, sex nightmares, unwanted sexual thoughts, feelings of condemnation, head pressure, confusion, anger, constant fear, difficulty reading scriptures, perverse thoughts, urges to mock and curse Jesus, unwanted precognitive abilities, etc. All of which are symptoms of demonization. It opened her up to oppression and torment from the enemy. Interestingly, all the demonic attacks started once she repented and turned to the Lord Jesus Christ. It was the obvious retaliation from the enemy.

When one repents and turns to the Lord Jesus Christ, He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit—true power of the living God (Acts 1:8; Acts 3:19; Romans 15:19). In contrast to the horrible symptoms of demonization, the Bible reads the fruits of the Holy Spirit are “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance…” (Gal. 5:22-23).

Trying to acquire occult or psychic powers can lead to serious danger, that is part of the reason the Bible condemns occult/New Age practices. Indeed, “Since magic operates in the sphere of diabolic miracle and deception, the Bible condemns and forbids it. To the Hebrews, the pagan deities served by magicians were evil spirits. To deal in the occult was tantamount to acknowledging these deities and was an infraction of the first commandment of the Decalogue (Exodus 20:1-6; Deuteronomy 18:9-10)” (Merrill Unger, Demons in the World Today, 107-108).

If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”

No not to that extent…when Moses parted the sea it was was a miracle of God himself not Moses himself…but people can do it a little bit when they get bad stuff in them from doing evil practices

If one feels tempted to try to ‘acquire’ powers like these (ex. D&D player speaking here, now a very serious Christian) in real life, please don’t: it’s not possible for a real human. However, Jesus Christ knows what’s the best thing to do instead of acquiring them. So consult Him in prayer, also have His healthy truths of KJV Bible, and ask and follow Him on what’s right to do instead of the power thing.
