“For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.” – Psalm 96:5

“²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.²⁴ Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,” – Romans 1:23-24

“But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.” – 1 Corinthians 10:20

If you have a history of being involved in any Native American spirituality and are dealing with demonic symptoms, then this is perhaps the prayer for you.

Indeed, in some cases, despite becoming Christians, all demonic spirits will not flee unless they are dealt with properly.

In the following prayer, we will renounce all the spirits (which are really unclean spirits) behind Native American spirituality and religion. What does it mean to renounce? To renounce means to “give up, refuse, or resign usually by formal declaration” or “to refuse to follow, obey, or recognize any further: repudiate.” It is a joy to realize that by the act of our repentance, we can appropriate the finished work of Messiah Jesus. His shed blood reverses all curses.

Every sin connected with sorcery or idolatry is essentially a contract with the powers of darkness. By means of such sins, satan’s kingdom gains the right to wreak havoc over a person’s life. This is true even if only the sins of a person’s parents or grandparents are involved. In praying a prayer of renunciation, a person cancels satan’s right both officially and judicially. 

Scripture reads: “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13).

Additionally, in the following prayer, we will directly confront the enemy, commanding it to be evicted if there happens to be an unclean or evil spirit dwelling within (it may be the case).

Say the following prayer with faith:

Dear Heavenly Father God, the One who sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins, and was resurrected:

I come to You on behalf of myself and all those in my ancestral line that came before me. I ask for Your forgiveness for our sins, and today I acknowledge that many of us sinned by never asking for Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior. Many of us committed sins and trespasses in rebellion against Your ways. Please hear my prayer and let the blood of Jesus cleanse my ancestral line from all unrighteousness. I take You as My Lord, and ask that You adopt me as Your child. You paid for me with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and I thank You that You went to the cross in my place.

I repent and renounce the worship of the deities of the Americas. Father, I renounce all false gods and masters. According to Your word, O God, in Deuteronomy 7:5, You commanded Your people to destroy ungodly altars and break down their sacred pillars. Let these prayers of renouncement accomplish the destruction of all ungodly altars in my family, in my generational line, and in this nation.

I repent of the worship of ancestors, the dead, evil spirits, or any other spiritual beings, whether unrighteous or righteous.

I repent of the worship of the sun, the moon, the stars, and the worship of any spirit being known as Mother Earth.

I repent of the unrighteous magical belief in the four basic elements of creation—earth, air, fire, and water—and for those who believed that the four basic elements were gods, and worshiped them as such.

I repent of all unrighteous dancing, unrighteous ceremonial dancing, unrighteous dancing rituals, and dancing for, or to, false gods, as well as getting involved in chanting prayers or vain repetitions.

I repent of going to unrighteous medicine men, unrighteous medicine women, shamans, or any unrighteous priests or priestesses for the healing of physical or spiritual ailments, instead of seeking healing from You, Father, our Healer, through righteous means.

I renounce all use of false face masks, unrighteous armlets, bracelets, necklaces, rings, emblems, arrowheads, or any other tokens, fetishes, or items that were used as healing plans to ward off evil spirits, or for any other unrighteous purposes. I remove all ungodly objects from my life.

I repent of entering into unrighteous spirit journeys, using or calling upon unrighteous beings as ‘spirit guides’. In the name of Jesus, I reject and renounce any and all unrighteous visitations and forms of spiritual guidance.

I repent of inhaling smoke for unrighteous purposes, inhaling evil spirits for the purpose of gaining power or other unrighteous intents, all unrighteous smoke communions, or unrighteous rituals concerning the peace pipe, and inhaling evil spirits in the form of smoke. I renounce the use of tobacco or pharmakeia, such as ayahuasca, peyote, psilocybin,  for ceremonial, ungodly religious, or recreational purposes, and any and all power associated with it to be rendered impotent, paralyzed, and powerless, according to what You have already done on the cross, Lord Jesus.

I repent of any use of recreational drugs such as marijuana, fentanyl, cocaine, or any substance that you don’t want in this body.

I repent of all drunkenness. I renounce all alcoholic drinks, such as beer and wine, that have led my ancestors and me into drunkenness. I renounce and reject every alcoholic spirit. I reject every curse hindering prosperity.

I repent of any sexual violence or sexual crimes I have committed. Please forgive me for any harm I have caused others. I renounce all sexual perversions and lusts in the mighty name of Jesus.

Creator of heaven and earth, I come to You humbly, in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. I come seeking forgiveness and cleansing from all the sins I have committed against You, and against others made in Your image. I honor my earthly father and mother and my grandparents, but I utterly turn away from and renounce their sins. I forgive all my ancestors for the effects of their sins on my children (or future children) and me. I confess and renounce all of my own sins. I renounce and rebuke satan and every spiritual power of his affecting my family and me. Father God, I come before you on behalf of my family and myself regarding all the following issues.

I renounce the demonic spirits of hoodoo, voodoo, Satanism, and all spirits of witchcraft and magic in the name of Jesus Christ. I renounce all practices and demonic spirits associated with Native American customs and traditions. I renounce the Catholic religion and its saints, patrons, and patronesses; familiar spirit guides and any and all other false gods and deities of various religions.

I renounce all ungodly spirits that may be associated with Native American dances that involve the use of conjuring demons, the use of demonic power, psychic energy, ancient witchcraft practices, sorcery, charms, spells, incantations, and magic. Let all ungodly altars be silent and dismantled now. Let the blood of Jesus cover me and my family who have participated in demonic worship, whether they participated knowingly or unknowingly. Father in heaven, I ask You to deliver them and set them free from all deception. Let Your Holy Spirit reveal the truth that will free people from demonic oppression, possession, and deception. Let the blinders fall off. Give them a spirit of revelation and an understanding heart that they might come to know the One and True Living God, Jesus Christ.

I renounce all customs of speaking word-curses on their enemies through traditional songs. Forgive me for the things we did and the practices that were accepted that had a spirit of death and cursing bound to the words that were spoken. Let all word curses be broken now in the spiritual and earthly realms. Let those words laced with death lose all power and cease to ring in the ears of those who have heard them. I bind the spirit of death that is associated with these customs and culture and forbid the spirits of death and hell from being released. I command them to go back now to the place where Jesus sends them and forever be bound in captivity. I declare that the spirits of death and hell will no longer advance in the name and authority of Jesus Christ.

On behalf of myself, my ancestors, and the forefathers of this nation, I renounce demonic attachments associated with gambling and ceremonial gambling. I loose the demonic spirits and spiritual enforcers off of all objects used in gambling and command them to return to the abyss created for all demons or where Jesus sends you. Let the spirits of lust, greed, selfishness, and bondage be bound in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. I pray, O God, let the Spirit of Liberty be released to free all people who have been bound by sin and addiction. Let them be loosed from their bondage in Jesus’ name.

Father, on behalf of myself, my family, I ask forgiveness for and renounce all false deity worship and participation in any Native American or Amerindian ceremonies. I forgive Native Americans and my indigenous ancestors for witchcraft, and me and my relatives, for deep hidden anger, bitterness, resentment, hatred of our oppressors; for cursing the land and people; for eating and drinking flesh and blood; and for worshiping demons. I forgive the oppressors for rejecting my ancestors and for enslaving them on the reservation. I also ask you, Heavenly Father, to forgive me for these sins and to separate and cut me off from them and their effects. I forgive the witch doctors and shamans for cursing the descendants, dedicating them to satan, and causing physical problems and diseases.

Father, forgive me for offering sage/cedar smoke to be cleansed of evil spirits. Only the blood of Jesus can wash me of all evil spirits. I repent for the sins of idol worship and disobedience committed by my ancestors, as described in Exodus 20, Leviticus 26, and Ezekiel 18. I break the curses of incest, rape, immorality, and the illegitimate child. I break the spiritual roots of any diseases caused by curses. I break every Native American curse on me and my descendants back to when the oppressors came to America. I break every dedication, death, and destruction curse, any curses of any kind, every bondage, or any work of Satan off my life, family, and bloodline in Jesus’ name. I command any satanic spirits to take your influence, oppression, and what you have sown and go with it from me, my family, my household, my bloodline, my descendants, and my ministry in Jesus’ name. I ask that You repair all the damage the enemy has caused me and my family, and restore sevenfold what he has stolen from me and my family in the name of Jesus. Thank you, God, my Lord, and Savior, for restoring me and my family.

I ask You, Father, to display and manifest Your power and authority over the enemy. It reads in Luke 10:19 that You give believers all authority to trample on snakes and scorpions. I believe in Your word. Please set me completely free.

Now, in the name of Jesus, I command every demonic spirit to come out of me. All the false spirits that I allowed into my body knowingly or unknowingly, and all the evil spirits that may have entered me via my ancestors, I command to leave right now in the mighty name of Jesus.

Come out of me right now!

Flee in the name of Jesus! This body belongs to Father God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. You’re a trespasser, and I command you to leave now, in Jesus’ mighty name. I break your stronghold over my life by the authority of Jesus, and I command you to go to where He sends you. All snakes and scorpions, GO NOW, in Jesus’ name.

Father God, please fill me with the Holy Spirit. Sanctify me as I continue to seek Your heart and face. Please cleanse this temple of all things that are not of You.

I thank You, Heavenly Father, for releasing Your power against the works of evil, that they might come to a quick and sudden end. I ask that You also release the power of Your Holy Spirit to bring forth forgiveness, compassion, grace, and healing. Let there be signs, wonders, and miracles, to the glory of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. I ask that You display Your power against the works of darkness, evil, and satan, that the workers of sorcery, demonic magic, witchcraft, spells, incantations, and every form of demonic power would be seen as inferior to that of Your Holy Spirit. I ask that the name of Jesus be glorified and the enemy be put to shame. I ask that everything the enemy has done to conspire, entrap, ensnare, falsely accuse, gain a false judgment by deceit, bribery, or falsehood be overturned. Let all who oppress Your children and hinder them from their divine purpose and assignments be stopped and brought to justice. Let righteous judgment prevail. I ask that You would, according to this petition, grant victory and justice for those who have waited for Your intervention. Let the power of Christ be displayed, the name of Jesus glorified, as You destroy the works of the evil one. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
