Many years ago I used to laugh when some Christians would condemn Harry Potter because of its occult content. After realizing witchcraft is really real and how JK Rowling received the ideas for the book I have no doubt the series came from the pits of hell. Not to mention the Bible strongly condemns witchcraft.

Satan’s hands (claws? hooves?) are all over Harry Potter. It is a clever but subtle way to desensitize or indoctrinate children into witchcraft which is strongly forbidden in the Bible. Please watch Harry Potter Initiation Into Wicca, Witchcraft, Occult.

I also find it interesting that Harry Potter took the world by storm. In my view, if anything is loved and embraced by the world then watch out. Remember, Satan is the god (lower case ‘g’) of this world. He is the one who deceives the world. Jesus Christ said repeatedly “do not be deceived.”

Satan who is behind the Vatican approves of his own works! Not the least surprised.

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.” —Leviticus 19:31

“And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.” —2nd Kings 21:6

Deuteronomy 18:10-12: “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or anecromancer.  For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD…”

Witchcraft (divination): a means for extracting information or guidance from a pagan god.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” -Isaiah 5:20

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you can receive Him into your heart and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
