Masonic Youth: Rainbow Girls, Order of Demolay, and Job’s Daughters

“34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.” – Matthew 5:34-37

About these three groups:

  • Order of DeMolay (DeMolay International) — Founded in 1919 by Frank S. Land for young men (typically ages 12–21). Named after Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Emphasizes seven cardinal virtues (filial love, reverence for sacred things, courtesy, comradeship, fidelity, cleanness, and patriotism). Chapters are sponsored by Masonic bodies.
  • Job’s Daughters International — Founded in 1920 by Ethel T. Wead Mick for girls and young women (typically ages 10–20). Based on the biblical story of Job and his daughters. Focuses on reverence for God, respect for parents, patriotism, and community service. Membership traditionally requires a Masonic family connection (or sponsorship).
  • International Order of the Rainbow for Girls — Founded in 1922 by Rev. W. Mark Sexson (a Mason and Christian minister) for girls (typically ages 11–20). Inspired by the rainbow covenant in Genesis. Teaches lessons tied to the seven colors of the rainbow (love, religion, nature, immortality, fidelity, patriotism, and service). Originally for daughters of Masons or Eastern Star members; now more open with sponsorship.

Although the organizations and some former members may claim that these groups are positive, non-religious (or multi-faith) character-building and leadership programs, there are some legitimate concerns about them from a Christian perspective:

  • Direct connection to Freemasonry
Masons founded these groups, are sponsored by Masonic lodges or Eastern Star chapters, and use rituals, symbolism, regalia, hierarchical titles, and initiation ceremonies modeled on (or adapted from) Freemasonry. If you didn’t know, adult Freemasonry is blatantly incompatible with Christianity. Some describe them as “feeder” organizations that normalize Masonic ideas and relationships.
  • Oaths/obligations of secrecy
Members take solemn promises or obligations, often including elements of secrecy. Read Jesus’ own words in Matthew 5:33–37 (“Swear not at all… let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay”) as prohibiting such oaths. Former members have publicly renounced the vows they took.
  • Non-sectarian / “Supreme Being” approach
Membership requires belief in a Supreme Being but does not require faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to God (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). Prayers and rituals typically use generic language and often omit the name of Jesus so as not to offend members of other faiths. This can be seen as promoting religious syncretism or a diluted, deistic view of God.
  • Secrecy and exclusive rituals
Certain ceremonies are private. This creates an atmosphere of secrecy that contrasts with the open nature of Christian discipleship and can foster a sense of elite or “insider” knowledge.
  • Potential conflict with exclusive Christian commitment
The view dual membership (youth group + strong church involvement) as spiritually compromising, especially if the youth group’s framework treats all sincere faiths as roughly equivalent paths.

Testimony of former Rainbow Girls
http://www.emfj.org/lora.htm

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can receive Him into your heart, and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins, just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”

All of these orders are founded on Christian principles and require a belief in God to participate. Rainbow was founded by a reverend for Pete’s sake. Your level of ignorance is unparalleled. I guess sensational lies will give you the control over your followers that you seek. Please let me know when you are ready for a new tin foil hat. I’ll be glad to make one for you. (I am a saved Christian and have been an active member of my church for over 20 years, so please don’t insult me by saying I am not a follower of Christ.)

    1. You need to repent and renounce your involvement in such an ungodly organization. You won’t find any where in the Bible to join any “order” and to make oaths. In fact, Jesus explicitly said to no make oaths.

I bind your deception in Jesus name and expose you as a luke warm ignorant christian at least, know ye not that all that say Lord Lord shall inherit the kingdom of heaven but only those who do the will of the father who is in heaven. Once saved always saved is a Lie. If the Blind lead the Blind they both will fall in the ditch. A Little leaven, leavens the whole Lump, are you completely ignorant of these scriptures Repent and turn from your wicked ways in Jesus name. Simply saying you go to a “christian church means nothing” the masons have infiltrated the churchs and have corrupted the true doctine of Christ. REPENT I say again so that eterntal fire may not be your portion. Why do you defend the Wicked by defending these organizations you are complicit in their wicked deeds.

Well, masons do use sodomy in certain types of rituals at the higher levels, sooo…just in case, keep your children as far away as possible from these people.

And I’m sure they have some good ones in the mix, just to throw us off. But just in case. No thanks. Watch your kids yourselves people. Stop trusting strangers to love and appreciate your children the way that you do. There are many predators who pose as harmless kind lambs, but they are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Stay aware and stay informed. God bless.

Lies. Every ritual done is to strengthen their relationship with the God (Jesus, Allah, God) they believe in. This isn’t a religion.

  5. Aaron

The reason they have titles is because of leadership training and to know who is in charge. And how they should respect that is higher than them. The person who made this picture is an IDIOT

  6. Jobie

I am a jobs daughter,I was a honored queen, senior princess and junior princess. And throughout everything the one take away was not ego but humility. To remain humble even when everyone puts their faith and trust in you,to let yourself be guided by a higher power and to be grateful for everything in life. The order is based on a Christian Bible story for God’s sake , teaching perseverance, humility,a love for all mankind, charity and above all else kindness. Before slandering the name of an organization that wishes nothing bug to help not only our members but our community please fact check, have a blessed day.

    1. Jesus is Lord

      You have been deceived.

What you’re involved in goes directly against everything the Bible teaches and all of the humility and trust you’re indoctrinated to have is not in or of Yahweh. The “higher power” that you serve, knowingly or unknowingly is the devil.
Jesus is King. The only One worthy of any royal title. We are to put our faith and trust in Him and Him alone.

    1. controversialchristian1

Your response does not sound Christian. Just saying.

Freemasons have a bad reputation all over the world. Do you worship Jesus Christ? I don’t hear Jesus mentioned in any freemasonry.
