“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” – 2 Corinthians 3:17

If you have a history of being involved with psychics, divination, tarot, palm reading, scrying, fortune telling, etc., it could be that you have a spirit of divination. Getting involved in such practices can easily open the doors to demonization.

If you have psychic abilities and/or have provided services to people using divination, it very well could be that you have a spirit of divination or some related spirit.

“But I was born with such a gift.”

Just because you may have been born with these abilities doesn’t mean it is from God. Some children may have been born psychic, but they may have inherited a divining spirit from their ancestors. This is probable if one’s ancestors were involved in the New Age/Occult or witchcraft. Pray for discernment.

The Apostle Paul encountered the spirit of divination in a person and expelled it from her. When the spirit was cast out, she lost her psychic ability, indicating that the spirit was behind the ability.

¹⁶ And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

¹⁷ The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

¹⁸ And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

¹⁹ And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

Why is the spirit of divination called a python spirit? The Greek word used in the text is puthón. According to the Lexicon,

Definition: Python, spirit of divination

Meaning: a divining spirit, Python, called after the Pythian serpent said to have guarded the oracle at Delphi and been slain by Apollo.

According to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance:

divination.

From Putho (the name of the region where Delphi, the seat of the famous oracle, was located); a Python, i.e. (by analogy, with the supposed diviner there) inspiration (soothsaying) — divination.

If you notice the python spirit (or some snake spirit) squeezing the life and breath out of you, pray against the python spirit by praying for yourself.

But if you want deliverance, first and foremost, it’s important to submit to Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who died on the cross for the sins of the world and was resurrected. And you should repent by throwing away everything related to divination, such as tarot cards, oracle cards, pendulum, astrology, psychics, Ouija board, automatic writing, palm reading, dowsing, crystal balls, etc. Be resolved to not get involved with psychics or the like again.

Pray this prayer to come against the spirit of divination or python spirit:

Father God, in Jesus’ name, I thank You that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses me from all sin. Thank you for You have sent your Son to redeem me and buy me from the slavery of sin and darkness to which I was condemned. Thank You for saving me and forgiving my sin. Thank you for sending Your Son to die on the cross. I believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Father, I confess that I have not been working out my own salvation with fear and trembling. I confess that I have not been walking in the Spirit like I should have. I confess that I have not been seeking You first, Lord. Father God, I repent for these things. Please forgive me.

I confess my sins to You, and I thank You that Your Word says if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Father, I repent of and renounce my agreement with the python spirit. I reject all spirits related to it. I renounce and repent for all activities, rituals, vocations, avocations, beliefs having to do with python and associating spirits. I renounce all things such as tarot cards, oracle cards, angel cards, pendulum, astrology, psychics, Ouija board, automatic writing, palm reading, and dowsing.

Father, have me for Yourself. I give myself completely and totally to You. I surrender, Lord. I surrender to You. Have me for Yourself. Holy Spirit, fill all of me. Jesus, I am Yours. Please take me completely and totally for Your purposes. Baptize me anew and afresh in Your Spirit and power. Fill me with Your fire. From this day forward, let me never be the same again.

Lord Jesus, I confess You as my Lord. Holy Spirit, I confess You as my Lord as well. And Father God, I confess You as my God, my Lord, the Ruler of Heaven and earth–and the Boss of me. You are my Everything. So Lord, I need Your help.

As I put one foot in front of the other to seek You first from now on, please help me to be focused on You. Work in me both to will and to do for Your good pleasure. Help me to want to seek You every day, Father. Make me hungry and thirsty for You and Your Son.

Help me to obey You in every moment, Father, no matter what You are telling me to do at that moment. Help me to walk in the Spirit, where I will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

Father, it’s not by might, nor by power that I can seek You and submit to You. It’s only by Your Spirit.

So help me, Father. Holy Spirit, please lead me and guide me. Instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, and guide me with Your eye upon me. You who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it, and I thank You for that. But please help me to submit to You every day, and fill me with Your Spirit. 

Fill me with Your eternal Holy Spirit, Lord Father. Thank You. In the name of Your Holy Son Jesus that I pray, I give You all the glory.

Thank You, God, for the breath in my lungs–both physical breath and spiritual breath–for they are from You.

Father God, I ask You to loose warrior angels to help with this deliverance in Jesus’ mighty name.

I bind the gatekeeper and bind all hindering spirits and demonic reinforcements from interfering with this deliverance in Jesus Christ’s name.

In Jesus Christ’s name, I bind up all demonic entities and unclean spirits working against me and my family.

Again, I repent for tolerating the python spirit. I repent for agreeing with it. I repent for not totally submitting to You, Father God. And in the name of Jesus, I command the python spirit and every other evil spirit to leave me right now in Jesus’ name. Be gone, demons, and do not return, in the name of Jesus.

I declare war against the spirit Pythos and every spirit associated with it. I loose you off me them now and command you to go where Jesus tells you to go, in Jesus’ name. I command you, Python, to come out of me. I loose you off of me, right now, and command you to go where Jesus tells you to go, in Jesus’ name. I declare an end to the Python spirit today, in Jesus’ name.

According to the victory Christ secured by the work of the cross, I command that the spirit of Pythos and all its power be rendered null and void in Jesus’ name. I bind the spirit of Leviathan and pride, working in and through others. Let the influence and voice of divination be silenced. Let the power of witchcraft and the spirit of infirmity be broken now, in Jesus’ name!

Where there has been constriction, I command you to uncoil: over my family members, over my home. I break every stronghold you have over me and my household, and I command you to flee.

I bind the spirit of Leviathan and pride, working in and through me. Let the influence and voice of divination be silenced. Let the power of witchcraft and the spirit of infirmity be broken now, in Jesus’ name!

Father, I pray these serpents would now unravel and uncoil. I command all serpents that are coiled in their bodies to unravel and come out in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, we pray that the Holy Spirit’s fire would engulf me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I attack satan’s kingdom from my position of authority, seated with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Highest of the Heavenlies.

Lord Jesus, please loose warrior angels of God to surround me right now, and to loose a wall of fire like in Zechariah 2:5 to surround me and my family right now, in Jesus Christ’s name.

I loose the sword of the Lord to cut off all connections between the demons on the inside and the fallen angels and unclean spirits on the outside, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name.

I ask you, Father God, to loose your angels to attack all foul spirits inside of me! In Jesus Christ’s name.

Python, I command you to detach, dislodge, and uproot from this temple. Come out of my personality, detach from my mind, and come out right now in the name of Jesus. Every Python spirit that came in through New Age, meditation, yoga, kundalini yoga, tarot, I break it off in the name of Jesus.

I pray that they be filled with the Spirit of God in true discernment. All false discernment that comes from Python, every demon that masquerades as the gift of discernment, but is lies, skepticism, doubt, bitterness, or division, we break in the name of Jesus. Come up and out of them right now. Spirits, we have called you out. You’ve been exposed. They have called upon the name of the Lord, and they have faith, since they clicked on this video. They have faith to be delivered, so you demons have to go.

Any Python spirits that produce heat, false sensations, or deceptive sensations in the body or the nervous system, I command those devils to release them entirely right now. Python spirits, I command you to release them entirely right now. Come up and out of their mouth. Come out of the body gates right now.

Python, you don’t have any legal rights over me. Father God, I thank you that the devil’s legal rights were destroyed on the cross. You demons cannot use the lie of legal rights if they have called upon the name of Jesus. They will be delivered. Father God, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for moving, thank you for destroying every stronghold. Lord, please shake everything that can be shaken. Any underlings that are sitting underneath a Python come out of their mouth through burping, yawning, sneezing, coughing, or crying. Don’t try to hold on in there. Come out in Jesus’ name.

Every unclean spirit that the Lord Jesus Christ wants to come out of me, come out now, and go to where the Lord Jesus Christ is sending you!

I break and cut all psychic spirits, including such spirits I may have inherited from ancestors, and I command them to:

All spirits of sickness, premature death, destruction, root of bitterness, cancer, asthma, all infirmities: Come out in Jesus Christ’s name!

Father God, I ask you to loose civil war into the demon’s camp and cause every demon to attack one another now, in Jesus Christ’s name.

I command the strongman to start throwing out the demons under my command now! In Jesus Christ’s name.

I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ rain down fire and brimstone on the demons in Jesus’ name.

I pray that the hornets of the Lord sting the demons and drive them out in Jesus Christ’s name.

Father God, I ask You to send Your mighty angels to attack these spirits, cut the strongman away, and hook and pull them out in Jesus Christ’s name.

I loose fiery destruction on all demons, in Jesus’ name.

I rebuke you, foul spirits, come out in Jesus Christ’s name.

Move! Out! Out! OUT! Come out! I expel you in Jesus Christ’s name.

Father God, I ask you to command your angels to slice these devils, scourge them, read the Word of God to them night and day, and sing the songs from the old Gospel hymnals like “There is Power in the Blood” until they come out! In Jesus Christ’s name.

Demons, I bind you from being able to communicate with one another, and you will not harm me or my family in any way. All you can do is come out and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and then go to where the Lord Jesus Christ sends you, never to return.

Keep coming out in Jesus Christ’s name!

Every demon, as you come out, you are ordered to go to where the Lord Jesus Christ sends you and never return.

Father God, I ask You to send the Holy Spirit now to fill up every void in me. 

I bind all demonic backlash, retaliation, revenge, or retribution from attacking me and my family, my finances, my ministries, my purpose, and my destiny, in Jesus Christ’s name.

I seal this deliverance with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray over myself, God’s Spirit. God, please give me a sound mind, good health, the fear of you, grace, mercy, and an excellent spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen.
