Forgiving others is a very important part of the process of deliverance. Please click here for more scripture on forgiveness.
Father God, in Jesus Christ’s name I confess that I have held in my heart unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment toward other people in my lifetime.
I am asking You to help me to forgive them, and right now in Jesus Christ’s name I do now forgive the following people:
[speak the person’s name whether living or dead]
I ask You, Father God, to pour out Your goodness, mercy, and grace on them, and bless and save them, in Jesus Christ’s name.
I also now forgive and accept myself in Jesus Christ’s name.
Because of Jesus Christ we have victory over curses and demons.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangers on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Gal. 3:13-14).
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

So in order to properly forgive, we must pray the exact words that John Ramirez wrote for the prayer. Sounds awfully close to Roman Catholicism. No thanks. I’ll pray from the heart with the Holy Spirit. Not what Pope Ramirez wants.

Pretty sure it’s just an example. I really doubt that the author is saying that the ONLY way to forgive is to read that excerpt. Sometimes when you aren’t sure how to say something an example is great to have.
