“Eckankar claims it’s the conveyor of spiritual wisdom that has been revealed from spirit guides (really demons) from other dimensions. The purpose of it is to supposedly help people directly experience God (the “Sigma” who is an impersonal, amoral, pantheistic spirit.) as sound & light in nonphysical states; to achieve spiritual liberation in this life by returning the soul to its true home in the god worlds. They claim the Eckankar is the most ancient religion known to man (that was begun by a former inhabitant of the planet Venus who came to earth 6 million years ago) & is the only path providing true salvation by unfolding unique spiritual experiences that no other teaching replicates. Eckankar blasphemes God by claiming Jesus Christ is a son of Kal (the “devil”). Contrary to what the Bible teaches that salvation is by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8-9) and in Jesus alone (Acts. 4:12), Eckankar teaches salvation is by great personal effort & soul travel. Heaven & hell are Christian myths & the Bible is a corrupted work of unenlightened men, according to Eckankar. Echoing the lie of satan (who they teach is a Christian myth) told Eve in the garden, man is inwardly divine. Although Eckankar claims to be unique, its founders acquired much of the teachings of Eckankar from a Hindu school. Eckankar is spiritually dangerous as it involves chanting & mantras, altered states of consciousness, occult visualization, spiritism – similar to occult magic which can lead to serious demonic infestation. Beware of Eckankar’s offshoots: Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) & MasterPath.”

A brother in Christ contacted me for deliverance prayer who was involved with the MasterPath, an offshoot of Eckankar. They have people chant. He said when he chanted, a demon came down unto him and entered him. When you chant, what you are doing is conjuring up devils.

The founders are Paul Twitchell, Darwin Gross and Harold Klemp are called “Living ECK Masters.”

Satan is retelling his same lie as told in the garden. Paul Twitchell once said, “Every man, woman and child is God! No one can dispute this basic fact of cosmic wisdom.” (Paul Twitchell, ECK world News, March 1979, p. 15.)

Paul Twitchell was so deluded he stated, “I am the Deity!… I am the trinity, the holy trinity. I am God the Father, I am God the Son, Jesus Christ… the King of Glory…. I bring salvation to all souls…” (Paul Twitchell – The First living Eck Master, The Tiger’s Fang, pp. 110-111.)

In addition to Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) and MasterPath, there is the Divine Science of Light and Sound founded by Jerry Mulvin, the Ancient Teachings of the Masters founded by Darwin Gross, the Sonic Spectrum founded by Michael Turner, and the Higher Consciousness Society founded by Ford Johnson that one should shun. They incorporate Eckhart terms and teachings into their respective organizations.

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can receive Him into your heart, and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.

If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):

“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins, just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
