“Masturbation (aka autoeroticism) is widely and frequently practiced. If statistics are accurate, you probably practice it. Health ‘professionals’ encourage it, echoing society’s mantra ‘if it feels good, do it!’ deeming it as a healthy ‘release.’ This deception says that sex is about you and your pleasure. Your body. Your genitals. Your orgasm. This is the natural tendency of sin. The truth is, it is a self-centered, selfish act. It makes pleasure self-focused. God did not design sex organs for the purpose of self-gratification. God created sex to be shared between a husband and his wife to become one flesh in intimacy, which results in bearing the next generation. Common justifications among professing Christians for masturbation are that it is not explicitly condemned in the Bible. But Christians ought to walk in the Spirit rather if the lust of the flesh, for fleshly lusts wages war against the soul (Gal. 5:16; 1 Pet. 2:11). The Holy Spirit is not behind the act of masturbation, but it is the work of the flesh and/or demons. The Bible reads one should possess his/her vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, like those who do not know God (1 Thes. 4:2-5). One should walk as Jesus walked (1 John 2:6) and be imitators of God (Eph. 5:1). We are to master our own bodies and their accompanying urges; we don’t allow our flesh to rule over us (Rom. 6:12-13). Sexual pleasure was not meant to be a selfish pursuit. Rather, sexual pleasure was designed to fulfill the Lord’s command to esteem another higher than oneself (Phil. 2:3). The pleasure of sex is not meant to be enjoyed in isolation, but to be enjoyed while providing that same pleasure to your spouse. Masturbation contradicts God’s design for sexuality and thus has no place in the life of one desiring to walk according to God’s will. If you are a masturbator, repent and get delivered!”

Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”
