They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. It may be more accurate to say the eyes can be the windows to the demonic spirit inhabiting a person.
On this website, we expose the various signs of demonization to expose how the enemy works and operates to help discern.
So here is another sign of demon possession that one should be mindful of: a person’s eyes suddenly turning dark or black. When someone’s eyes suddenly shift black, that is the demon(s) inside the person manifesting.
[Please note that I am not saying that everyone with eyes that suddenly turn black is because of a demon manifesting in the person. It can be due to a medical condition.]
I think that to a lot of Christians, this is an obvious sign of demon possession. Many Christians (I assume) can discern that if a person’s eyes suddenly switch black or dark, then there is probably something demonic going on. Such Christians are aware that evil spirits can be indwelt in since the Bible reads that a large part of Jesus’ ministry was casting demons out of His people.
But perhaps one is a Christian and just needs confirmation because an acquaintance, friend, relative, or spouse had such a manifestation. Yes, it’s very likely to be demonic!
I can recall a woman who contacted me for deliverance telling me that one time she looked into the mirror and saw another spirit inside herself through her own eyes. She prayed against it, and it left.
Despite seeing all kinds of uncanny demonic manifestations via people being involved in deliverance ministry for many years, I still can’t recall ever seeing someone’s eyes turn black like some others have reported. But I have seen the eyes of a psychic in person offering readings at a public stand, and I keenly discerned that there was another entity (a demon) behind her glazed or a filmy-looking eyes. If you didn’t know, the psychics that are real have demons inside of them, from whence their supernatural abilities.
Many people have reported that they know narcissists or abusers whose eyes turn black; seeing such a thing is understandably unnerving. But a lot of such people, who I assume are not Christian, don’t attribute it to the demon(s) inhabiting the person.
To the Christian who may still be skeptical and the non-Christians who deny the supernatural or spiritual, allow me to attempt to make a case for it being demonic.
One person who was reported to have eyes suddenly turn black is the Hip-Hop music mogul P Diddy, aka Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently caught up in serious criminal charges such as sex trafficking and racketeering, and civil lawsuits from individuals who accuse him of using his power to drug, assault, and rape:
Cassie Ventura broke down in Manhattan court Tuesday as she testified how Sean “Diddy” Combs’ eyes would suddenly “just go black’’ when he launched into violent rages against her.
“He would be violent with me, his look would just change over, he would just become a different person,” Ventura, 38, told the rapt federal jury at the rap mogul’s sensational sex-trafficking trial — choking back tears.
“He would just become a different person. I wouldn’t know what would happen,’’ said Ventura, now a married mother of two and eight months pregnant with her third child.
“The best way to describe it is, his eyes just go black. The version that I was in love with is no longer there.”
She said the abuse was so terrifying because there were “certain times when I knew it wasn’t even about me, and yeah – make the wrong face, and the next thing I knew I was getting hit in the face.
“I wasn’t smiling at him the way he wanted. I just looked a certain way he didn’t like. Maybe I was a brat or something. He would let me know I would need to fix my face or watch my mouth,” Ventura said.
Even if it wasn’t revealed P Diddy’s eyes would go black; it would be easy to infer he has a heavy level of demonization, taking into account what sins he has allegedly been involved in, such as illicit drugs, fornication, twisted sexual perversions (e.g., homosexual sex), involved an abortion (or abortions), and angry outbursts. A lot of such things are huge demonic doorways.
Moreover, the music industry is a tremendous stronghold of satan’s kingdom. Several musicians have openly admitted to a spirit taking control of them. Some have also admitted to a spirit taking over them when they performed, or even feeding them melodies or lyrics as if it were channeled to them.
Considering that most, if not all, of the songs released that he has been responsible for have promoted and glorified sin, there can be no doubt that P Diddy has been strongly used by the enemy as a pawn.
His eyes reportedly turning black, I believe, is pretty telling of how much control the enemy has over him and the level of wickedness of the demon (or demons) indwelt. Though they are all evil, Jesus revealed that there are demons that are more wicked than others (Matthew 12:45).
Ted Bundy, the notorious serial murderer, rapist, and, necrophile, was seen with his eyes turning black:
During one dinner with friends at her apartment, the group ended the evening by dancing to vinyl records, and Edna recalled returning back to the room to find Ted and her roommate Margie slow dancing to a romantic song.
‘Margie had her head leaned against Ted’s chest, and as they turned with the music, I got a direct view of Ted. I could see him looking down at her,’ she noted.
‘I will never forget the look on his face.’
In her book, she said Ted danced with his ‘jaw clenched tight, and his usually blue eyes appeared coal black’, in a kind of trance. Following his arrest, investigators would describe seeing Bundy’s eyes turn black and his pupils dilate when recounting his murder victims.
Ted Bundy himself admitted he felt like an entity that influenced him, especially when he was tense or drunk (drunkenness is a demonic door opener and much easier for evil spirits to manipulate an intoxicated person). He also heard a secret voice called ‘the entity’ that would speak to him about committing violence against women, which grew ‘louder and louder’ throughout the years.
Bundy said that the entity “controlled him and he would hear a voice and he did as the entity told him to do,” according to Michaud. Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, also described in an interview with police in 1978 hearing Bundy talk about an unseen force.
“He told me that he was sick and that he was consumed by something that he didn’t understand and that, um, that it — that he just couldn’t contain it,” she said. “He spent so much time trying to maintain a normal life and he just couldn’t do it. He said that he was preoccupied with this force.”

His level of demonization seemed to have been so extreme, or the demon inside of him was so strong, that it was reported that an odor emanated from him and one could feel a “negative electricity” from him:
Defense investigator Joe Aloi seemed to have gotten a clear view. While they were talking, he suddenly noticed an odor emanating from Bundy as his face and body contorted. “I felt that negative electricity,” Aloi said, “and along with that came that smell.” Aloi was suddenly terrified that Bundy would kill him.
Bundy said that during these encounters some malignant part of his personality took over – he called it “the entity” — and it was looking for satisfaction. It was not an alter personality, he insisted, but more like a disordered part of himself, a “malignancy.” Under its influence, he was aware of what he was doing.
In third-person, he described his experience as the entity took over:
“What began to happen was that … important matters were not being rearranged or otherwise interfered with by this voyeuristic behavior, but … things were postponed or otherwise rescheduled, to, uh, work around, uh, hours and hours spent on the street, at night and during the early morning hours…
“And as the condition develops and its purposes or its characteristics become more well defined, it begins to demand more time of the individual [referring to himself] … There’s a certain amount of tension, uh, struggle, between the normal personality and this, this, uh, psychopathological, uh, entity … This condition inside him [Bundy] seems to be competing for more attention …
“ … a point would be reached where we’d had all of this, this reservoir of tension building. Building and building.” Finally, he said, the entity would break through. “The tension would be too great and the demands and expectations of this entity would reach a point where they just could not be controlled.”

There is also the case of Chris Watts, the one who tragically murdered his own pregnant wife and their two daughters, reportedly had eyes that turned black when he talked about the murders:
Cheryln Cadle tells Inside Edition she was fascinated by the case and started exchanging letters with Watts. Eventually, she visited him at a maximum security prison in Wisconsin. She said it was “surreal” to meet the killer.
“At times, when he would talk about the murders, his eyes would turn so black. He just would get a different look on his face, and he talked about it so nonchalantly, like going down to get a cup of coffee,” Cadle said.

The following is a recent news report of a woman attacked by a man whose eyes turned dark:
When Dessiray Koss was called as a witness, she described a normal evening of people coming and going from her west-side home in Green Bay. Koss hosted a cookout that included young children, including her son. After families left and Koss put her son to bed, the party turned into a smaller bonfire among friends.
After midnight, Koss said her sister, Danielle, her sister’s friend Meyer and two men she’d “never seen in her life” showed up for drinks around the bonfire.
Everyone was “nice, friendly and kind,” Dessiray Koss testified, saying that at one point Nolan even helped her gather more wood for the bonfire. She said she distributed beers and the vibes were good well into the evening.
But something changed in Nolan, Koss said. As she grabbed a beer for him, Nolan looked at Koss and “his demeanor changed,” she said.
“His eyes went black and I knew I was unsafe,” Dessiray Koss said, pausing several times to gather her emotions. “I remember him looking me dead in the eyes,” she said, and calling her a homophobic slur. “He picked me up by my ribs and threw me into the fire.”
Some witnesses described this moment as Nolan picking up Dessiray Koss by the ribs and throwing her into the active fire; other witnesses described it more as a push and a throw when she stood to confront him about the slur he used against her.
Witnesses also described the fight that ensued and when he put his hands around Dessiray Koss’ throat. “She was turning really purple at that point and nothing was coming out of her mouth,” Danielle Koss said.

Interestingly, many non-Christians (I assume they are) don’t see what’s behind the eye change. Back in the day, such manifestations were more likely to be called out as demon possession, but our society has “evolved” to the point that we call this silly, superstitious nonsense, right?
Okay, so what can we do with all this information? If you know a person who has such manifestations, now you know what’s behind their dark traits or bad demeanor. It’s the spirit inside the person behind whatever ungodly, devilish traits he or she has. It could be such things as violent tendencies or being a narcissist.
Also, it would be wise to be cautious around such a person, as they probably have a greater potential to cause harm or abuse. Such a person needs the Lord Jesus (we all do) and needs prayer for deliverance to have the evil spirit(s) expelled. Give the person the Gospel message and continuously pray for such a person to repent and turn to Jesus for salvation.
This world is a battlefield. The enemy is fighting for keeps — he wants to take every soul down with him to the Lake of Fire (Revelation 19:20; 20:10, 14-15; 21:28). Satan’s kingdom works inside and behind people unbeknownst to them. Don’t ever give up praying for the salvation of others.
If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can receive Him into your heart, and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life.
If you are sincere, you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word):
“God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. Please forgive me of all of my sins just as I forgive others. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross, I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord and was raised from the dead and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in the Lord and GOD Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen.”

I believe this is 100% true, I have seen eyes turn black in narcissists I came across during my life, right before their “evil side” was showing and when they were uttering their cruel and mean attacks.
Once again, thank you for your article and for sharing your clarity with us – I hadn’t connected the dots before as sharp as I have now…. I used to warn women in toxic relationships to watch out and make sure there’s a distance between them and their men when their eyes turn black, and I have seen it in situations where some sort of abuse was about to happen (in my case only verbal)…

I’m not surprised that you seem to be bothered by something, you are doing such an important and magnificent work for GOD, the devil must really hate you, as you are causing great damage to his evil plots – PRAISE GOD!!!
Praying over here and standing on this scripture with you – I KNOW that GOD will deliver you from whatever you are battling at the moment and that HE will protect you in JESUS’ name!
I wish I could offer to pray with you as well as for you, but I’m not 100% right with GOD currently and not free from sin, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for me, as I’m not sure I’d have the authority to command the forces attacking you to leave, so I will have to stay in my lane and pray for you rather than with you. Also, I haven’t prayed for someone in a long time…
I do hope that if you need someone to pray with you, GOD will send you someone who is living a holy life and can stand with you in prayer and in battle.

Hello, when I might ask, you mean that anybody can pray for others who is free from sin and right with God (or at least the most free and the most right) and even commanding the evil forces to leave ?
Is this really possible ?
Could you get after the evil spirits the shamans operate with ?
I cannot even believe this.
I thought that only Jesus Christ, the Son of God can do it. And The Heavenly Father can do this.
Well, I do not know about it. However, I have the experience that the most clarity I have on some issues, especially the moral clarity (being right with God), the less afraid I am to go against abusers…and usually I am not being harmed by them. However, it is a tricky thing. I usually have to have the best knowledge of the adversary as possible. Currently I feel so left alone by God or something has happened, that I cannot read any scriptures and I do not want to be in relationship with God. I feel little hopeless that God had put me into huge suffering(s), especially physical ones when the body does not work well and I have no strenght to even read the scriptures, despite me being a good person. I am really so pissed against God. I know that there are some psalms where people ask God why he is not doing anything and lets people being deceived by the adversary etc, God is not doing these big things as it used to be in the past. They say to God that they will stay loyal to God, however they express their anger and disappointment as well. What a bravery.
I hope that I will go over this phase.

I have not seen black eye (luckily). I have seen a guy who I suppose to be a borderline personality disordered psychopath, to have evil eyes (I have noticed it in a photo). He sadly was an ex bf of mine. He targeted me as romantic relationship predator and I had experienced a huge variety of manipulative games. It took me some time to find out who he was. It had been many many years back and until today, luckily, I had not encountered somebody similar. I probably became wiser. When I saw him first time, I badly disliked this person. I saw some “air turning around his chest” and it felt like EVIL. I thought that this was a crazy idea and let it go. He then target me as a predator, it was time of bad deaths in my family, I was very down. He was the top manipulator. I suppose that he had stolen some photos of my childhood and might have done some hara-kiri over me. I felt chronically physically sick after I had finally gotten rid of him. I watched them a photo of him on internet – he tried to get politically involved and his photos showed up on internet. I saw the evil looking from this eyes. I checked this person through any possible personality typologies (he always came as evil person). It was probably not possible to see the evil so easily….but on the photos, it was there captured.
The tough stuff was, that the 80% of time I was around him, I tried to escape from him. He used many tricks: one of them was going to the student church I was. He accompanied me there. The people there turned away from me. They literally physically turned away from me when he was there with me. Sadly, nobody told me that he was not ok. He tried to force me to go to a couple counselling to a priest: a jesuit priest, the star of the church (everybody loved him, except this priest did not liked me). I luckily had no idea why I should do that. He must have known this priest. I have strange feeling that both were part of some freemasonry. The psychopath knew that this priest is going to manipulate me.
Finally, I agreed to go with him to a psychotherapist who did manipulated me into staying with the psychopath …my psychological defenses were shut down. I was confused. It took me another one year to get rid of this psychopath.
He would have used anything, even the church, the priest, God (he studied bible and was constantly talking about: the spiritual guy). I had not read the bible at that poitn, so I had interestingly thought that it was a nonsense what he was talking about: it was a gnostic nonsense. Not the word of God. Even though he cited bible etc etc. Lack of knowledge actually saved me there….my sense of morality and some form of love for God have saved not to have fallen for these gnostic christian talks.
Well, the general feeling and experience of this person was EVIL aura at the beginning, EVIL eye at the end.

About this EVIL EYE psychopath. I had mistakenly once told him that he is like an angel. Well, I might have been right. He was just the fallen one.
I told him that he was evil. He disliked it badly: he said that he is behaving badly (he is being a jerk, a dr. jekyll or hide), but that he is not an evil one.
I had the impression that his job was to cause harm to me: the more harm, the more he could be rewarded (by some evil spirits). It felt like he was after the evil…..the urge to find proper victims, usually people with decent moral convictions, believing in God (even thought without proper education and community) and defile them spiritually (and sexually sadly).
It is just everything so reverse and stinky about these creatures. I guess that their inner world is very dark….psychologically suffering, the hell. He used to say that when once look took long into the abyss, one will fall into it. I have no idea what he ment by this.
It semt to me little bit like the film “Dangerous liasons” where the psychopaths makes a deal with another psychopath (a woman) that he is going to target and morally defile and destroy a young lady (who sadly was married). He succeeded. When she fined out, she felt physically sick and died.
I have an experience that this not a film. This is a reality. At least, it was my reality.
I had been so sorry to God for having been so deceived. I did not know about the need of sexual purity before marriage. Well, I did truly pay due lack of my knowledge high price (as always in my life). I had fallen sick…..and then I started to seek healing in the occult (not knowing that this is not ok for God, not knowing that this is dangerous).
Evil is very sophisticated.
I am still being deceived. However, maybe not that much psychologically. I can see more through this.

I have an experience with a shaman. When she performed something (it turned out to be “healing”), she was barking like a dog, she made some strange sounds and her face had strange muscle movements. Some other time she appeared to be so angry/mad at me (like wanting to jump on me) – she stopped talking. She let me talk….it was strange, but it all happened so fast….it was usually as I had been over some time around this shaman and she was very kind. It was like she decided that she is on purpose going to be cruel. She yawned many times while I was talking. I was not ok with it. She sent me strange e-mail answers, she was like little immature child: she suddenly wanted to pay her more money,she told me that she has shorter sessions, she told me that she is not a therapist and WE MUST GET TO A SHAMANIC HEALING (probably not using her as an advisor without the shamanic input…which I really did not wish anymore). She then caused a severe harm to me. Without any warning. When I addressed it, she started to cause new harms via distance while writing me an e-mail that the spirits she is working with cannot harm anybody.
She obviously reads my thoughts….(well, nor her, her demons).
I had found information about her that she has 6 toes. She might be teaching shamanism, previously in some very famous shamanic school with just few few teacher. She, young age, among those few.
I found that she had drug troubles around age 14, then she immediately started to train as a shaman.
What a coincidence.
I was honestly sad for her that she had been pulled into the shamanism, probably by her family.
I was even more sad that she is so revengeous that she caused severe harm to me
and that she did not want to have insight.
She is protecting her relationships to these demons.
Praying for her seems to me like a good idea, but:
should I not pray for myself to release the harm she caused and then just pray for her ?

The shamans say that they merge with the spirits, especially the power animals. The power animal seem to be “their spirit” (demon), the major one(s). Thus, these demons (coming in disguise as spirit animals) live in their bodies ?
A former shaman said in a video that he was trained by his family in order to attract the spirits (demons) who will come into his body and build a house in there.
It is tough that these shamans force their clients to merge with the power animals as well. Luckily this shaman had in fact not much time for me, she never explained much about shamanism, but she told me to put music on and dance with the power animal she once in the past retrieved to me. I am not sure if I did it, maybe once. I quickly lost the mojo…or the interest. It was little odd to me.
I am very ashamed that I in fact was around this, even for few times. It is like making place in my body for a demons. Deliberately, believing that this is good for my physical health. I am not sure if it helped me, I would not say……until I had experienced that a huge harm can be caused this way. The harm can be caused even though when not making any appointment with the shaman. The shooting some evil energy can be done in a distance, without any knowledge of the person. The sorcery.
I do as well not think that this shaman had the healing abilities or the fact that she sort started to “read my thoughts” about my huge suspicision to these spirits. It must have been these spirits who told her.
She without the spirits would know anything.
She would not be able to cause harm.
These spirits are doing it.
How do these spirit demons do it ?
Not sure. It seems that they need a body, a body of a man or a woman.
They might not work without an attachment to a body. (a hypothesis).
Then, they must get inside the body and from there they can operate.
Is is so easy to get inside a body ?
I would say that it is very difficult for a spirit demon to invade into a body.
They must use some entrances/holes into the body: e.g. a physical disease/injury present, results of psychological mistreatment/mind control, drug, alcohol influence, sexual abuse…
They might wait for the proper moment.
Not every moment is good for the spirit demon to enter the body.
They are like human predators….they observe their victim, they help the victim to get weaker, they smother and love bomb the victim and they attack in the right moment….
They might need to take a control, maybe a complete control over the mind of the person.
I do not think so that if they cause physical harm that the person is theirs. They need to influence the mind and the morals of the person.
A shaman is for sure knowing what is happening mentally. They harm deliberately – either actively or they facilitate it.
If the mind resist the evil, the evil spirit can do no harm to others.
However, it can possibly to do the harm to the person itself – a physical harm or cause some evil in your life.
The new testament says that evil is very powerful.

I have listen to a possibly real psychic saying that after she had done spirit (demons) release to some client, she was attacked by demon herself. She then stopped doing the spirit release (her guides told her to do so). She said that only high profile healers are attacked by demons, most psychics do not need to be worried, nor general population.
These psychics and shamans seem primarly like nice, kind people. Ethics seems to be important to them. This psychic was trained by her family from a little child age. She had never had a normal life. When being 30, she refused to be have “gifts”. She lived one year as a normal person. Then she came back to be a psychic (she said that it was her life purpose after all). All her gifts came back, but in a more bearable way. Today, she is 60 years old, she had this encounter with a demon and she slowly stopped seeing any clients. She is only teaching. She has a some serious health problems majority of her life. She said that she refused to work with some spirit -demons who came to her, because they were as well known as those who cause harm, but after all, she started to work with them….
She had mentioned that these spirit-demons are living in her body. She probably does not want to say this truth. It sounds rather scary.
I have the feeling that she wants to get away from these spirit-demons.
I guess she had been as well drugged by her family as a child to let those spirit-demons having an access to her.
Can these people exchange these spirit-demons for God (and then maybe the Holy Spirit) ?
I thought when they were used to some spirits anyway since their childhood….
I could hardly imagine that their families would allow this to them…. (she said that her family members were grandmasters in freemasonry….she did not seem being happy about this).
The evil spirits will certainly not want them to go…
but, I really hope that it is true what is being told in the John evangelium: if you want to keep your life, you will loose it.
They want to be ready to die.
Probably not everybody is willing to yet to be thinking about this….
I understand why they had to be told the gospel. They can eventually, eventually get an ally in Father God and his Son, Jesus Christ….
However, it is not that easy.
I imagine this demons in the body like a digital chip in the body: it can access the nervous system, it can access the circulation, the heart: if we disobey the instructions, it can cause the person terrible physical suffering…..possible it can deprive him from social life, maybe even food…… It must be as well very difficult to connect to The Most High, the demons must block it.
I can imagine that one wants there away.
Just having this insight for these people could be the first step.
